WORTH IT
Hi everyone,
Please excuse my english as I am norwegian, and english is my second language.
I found this website, as before and after pictures are not allowed in Norway.
Thank God for the web...
Prior to my breast lift, I have been eager to learn about the procedure, and what to be aware of before and after.
After my pregnancy my breasts sadly deflated and two years ago I had silicone implants. 350 in my right and 325 in my left boob. Not long after the procedure I regreted my decision as I did not have the outcome I expected. And I finally descided I was done with big boobies, and bra creases on my shoulders. Finally last night I had an explant and breast lift done.
I really haven't had the courage to take of my sports bra to have a look, but as far as I can tell, I love the look of smaller and higher positioned breasts.
As all of you, I have been unsure and back and forth about the procedure due to the issue of scarring. But I am sure that the upside far outweighs the downside.
I had a lollipop lift, and I heal quite well usually. So I am hopeful my recovery will be fine and swift.
My PS is the same doctor as my prior surgery, and I like him very much. And it is comforting to know that he is one of the best in my country. His practice specializes in breast reconstruction for cancer patients, and as he says boobies is his favorite.
I will post more pictures as soon as I take the bandages of.

1 day, bandages off!

So first peek did not scare me at all, I am surprised to find that I don't look bruised at all. Some small bleeding, but other than that I fine. Of course it feels like someone is sitting on my chest, but the pain is moderate. Not bad at all. The biggest change so far is that the shape of my body looks quite different. From curvy to slender in one day. I am active in practicing yoga, working out in general, can't wait to get back to my work out routine. So now I have to wait 10 more days to change the tape, and my first check up. But so far so good!

You look great! I went on a Scandinavian trip to Sweden in September and we're going to visit Oslo but my hubby didn't want to pack too much in. After breastfeeding for 3 years total I was left with nothing but nipples. I chose to get implants but stay a reasonable size. Your implants looked pretty big and uncomfortable as you said. Good luck with healing!

Thanks Iris - I am healing beautifully, not much pain at all.
Size wise, my implants combined with the tissue in my breasts were just too much. I was left with a bit more than nipples after breastfeeding:) I was, in all fairness, warned by my PS that the result of an implant would be on the large side. In total he told me before my surgery, he would guess my breasts to be about 1000 cc. My bra size was 34 DDD, thats just too much for my liking. So after to years trying to convince my self that they fit me and my body, I came to the conclusion to explant and lift. I had my breast tissue repositioned as well, I think its called the inner bra surgery. It supposedly gives you more upper pole fullness as well as a longer lasting result.
I am sorry to hear you didn't make it to Oslo, its my hometown and a beautiful city. I hope you make another trip to Scandinavia, and then to Oslo. You would like it here I am sure of that.

Day 6

I feel great, no more pain killers needed, just a bit sore and very itchy.
I had my first day back at work today, got comments that I looked good, no comments on the change of breast size. I think I am a C cup now, that was my cup size prior to my augmentation. Oh joy! Hard to express how good this feels. Can't wait to go back Tuesday to change the tape.

Thank you! I will keep you updated:)
So far I am very glad I did go through with the surgery, and even though it´s early days, I am loving the result!

Looking good! I'm glad u kept your tape on. Had mine stayed on I don't believe they would have gotten so inflammed. Picked up some steroid cream. Hopefully it will help.
November 16, 2014
Thanks, I feel good as well! My PS said that a minimum of 10 days before you change tape first time, is important due to inflamation hazard. I hope the steroid cream helps, ! I have bought the Kelo cream, and I will use any ointment or cream that can help in minmizing the scars. Happy healing!

Thanks for your story. So glad you are happy. No before after pics allowed in Norway ? What are you supposed to do? Stop women on the street and ask to see their boobs?! Hahahha
November 16, 2014
Hahahaha...great idea! It´s a stupid regulation, only because it´s supposedly advertising and encouraging plastic surgery...So you only see before an after pics at the doctors office, and on the internet of course :-)
Anyway I´ll keep posting my afters, just because I think it`s been so helpful for me to se and read about this procedure, it would be nice if my experience could help someone else.

Congratulations! Now your breasts are PERFECT! Can you lie on your tummy yet? Boy, that's one of the things that I'm looking forward to
Most of all though, I have fibromyalgia (31 years) and I'm hoping that the implant removal will improve my constant all-over body pain.
November 18, 2014
Thank you, feels like my birthday every day! No, still sleeping on my back only. A couple of days now, and then I will be at the two week mark, then hopefully I can lie on my tummy and get a good nights sleep.
You know, I think that if you have some auto immune health issues, it probably would be a good thing to have your implants out. Not that I`m a doctor or anything, but on my behalf I started having some pain in my joints when I got implants. Now I am feeling so much better, I think there is some kind of connection.
When are you having your surgery?
