My side profile (or lack of) had bothered me since middle school. I have known since 14 that I have always wanted a stronger profile and decided at 21 to go ahead and get a chin implant. Dr Bounassassi was the second consultation I had since I did not feel comfortable with the first doctor. I took advantage of the free pre-pre-consulation and after scheduled a surgical consultation via Skype since I am from out of town.
Dr Bounassassi explained the operation, told me of the technique he uses and why and told me of risks/recovery time and answered all questions I had, he took his time with the surgical consultation and I felt in to way rushed to stop asking questions or pressured to book a surgery date.
His team is absolutely fantastic and communication up to the procedure was exemplary. I arrived in Vancouver the day before the operation and stayed in a hotel close to the surgical centre. Before booking the hotel his staff sent me a list of convenient ones as well as I received a discount for being a patient. Everything went very smoothly the morning of the operation, the nurses where wonderful and had great senses of humour.
IV sedation was used I felt no pain, was semi alert as to what was happening (I was mainly just thinking of eating tacos and burritos while being operated on as I was hungry from the fast the night before). Recovery could have not been any better, I used T3's only for the first day and avoided feeling any pain. Dr Bounassassi called the next day to see how everything was doing. Swelling was minimal and after the 3rd day when I was able to take off the bandage my face was presentable to go out in public, and I did.
My profile is perfect and inline now and my double chin is completely gone (perhaps from a mixture of the implant and the wonderful stitching to close up the incision?)
Could not be happier with the results, they are everything I wanted and more. The scar from the incision is barely visible. The whole experience was better than I could have asked for and I would recommend Dr. Bounassassi and his team to everyone.
