I have struggled with hormonal cystic acne on my chin and hyper pigmentation on my forehead for years. It was so dark that even my makeup wasn't covering it anymore and I was feeling horrible about my complexion. I researched the VI Peel and after meeting with Donna at Glow Salon in north palm beach, decided I would be a good candidate for the peel. The application did not hurt. Mild stinging st first which subsides almost immediately. She gave me a fan to use if the smell bothered me (it smells like acetone is being rubbed on your face). I coincidentally had a friend that shows up at the salon and we talked during the application (which was under 10 minutes) and that was a nice distraction since I was a little nervous. I felt a little lightheaded after due to the smell but after downing some water felt fine. You are definitely orange doe the first 2 days. I'm lucky that I work from home and can easily hide my face from people because I remember thinking if you have a job where you have to interact and go in an office daily, it would be embarrassing especially when you start to peel. The peeling startedfoebme day 3 and was pretty much done by day 5. Day 6 I'm a little more tender and pink on my forehead and I have noticed I'm starting to repeel in some places that have already peeled. I am thrilled with the outcome. My skin isn't perfect but I see an 80% improvement. Biggestest inprovement is my forehead and my chin has improved a lot as well. The new skin is very soft and overall I am extremely happy that I had this done. For those of you struggling with hormonal cystic acne, google organic Olivia acne talk on YouTube. She has a lot of insight on ways to combat hormonal acne. I'm have stated taking lysene supplements and am going to focus on diet and exercise a lot now that I feel that I have a fresh start with my face. Oh and I am a huge picker which is why my scarring was so bad. My sweet husband got me a fidget spinner and a fidget cube to try and curb my desire to pick. It's helped a lot, so if you are a picker too definitely invest in something like that to keep your hands busy.

I absolutely loved Donna. She had me come in for a consultation first and didn't just want to sell me services or products, she wanted to get to know me and try to figure out the cause of my problems starting with diet and exercise and hormones etc. She explained everything and I think she did a great job applting the peel well. She texted me all throughout the week to check on my progress and see if I had any questions. I have a followup scheduled for day 9 post peel.

Hi! Your results are amazing! I was 36 and still suffered from the same hyperpigmintation and scarring from cystic acne that you are. I went to a dermatologist and he prescribed Epiduo (at $50 per bottle), a once a day topical cream. It took about 2 months to see results. It worked, but for the first two weeks you have a red scaly appearance. Unfortunately I would still have the breakthrough monthly cystic acne. I went back for a follow up and he prescribed spironolactone. It is a diuretic medication usually given to reduce fluid build up in the body, but it also has a hormone blocking characteristic. The dermatologist started me at 25mg/day and slowly titrated it up to 100 mg/day. I have not had ANY acne whatsoever since I started this prescription! I love it! I stopped using the Epiduo, and I still have no acne. I haven't had any ill side effects, so I will continue to take it as long as it works. I hope this helps with any future out breaks!
