Recently underwent labiaplasty covered by insurance. Went to a doctor located in Norman Oklahoma, Dr. Lisa Waterman. My experience was great from beginning to end. I got the trim method as my labia was discolored on the edges and I wanted better coloring as well as a reduction in size. She specializes in this surgery and went to Beverly Hills to train with the doctors that came up with this surgical technique. She's a very sharp and confident doctor. She took time with me at every appointment (i went for two consults because I'm very concerned with making the right decision). She showed me a book of before and after pictures and was very honest. I went for my follow-up consultation and am healing well and pain is subsiding.

The surgery is 1 hour, but she know I was concerned about being conservative and leaving some labia. She actually trimmed, then looked and decided to take extra time to trim a slight amount more to make sure to achieve the look I described. I appreciate her commitment to help women feel better about themselves.

Post Surgery Notes

Day 1-4: not much pain, stayed on pain medicine and iced consistently throughout the day and night. Decent amount of drainage from incisions.

Day 5-10: Some itching, soreness got worse each day. Returned to work day 7, donut for sitting and 800 mg Motrin is a must. Still swollen a good deal and drainage of blood and fluid in small amounts still occurring. Icing as much as possible when home.

Day 11-12: Still discomfort. Started progesterone cream one time per day. Pain is much better and drainage from incisions has also diminished. Still pretty swollen. Still icing multiple times per day.

So far so good...

So far things have been good. I'm still more swollen on one side and the other side is going down significantly. I was given some estrogen cream at my two week to apply nightly which has caused increased itching for some reason. I have put together some photos to help other women see the healing process and better before pictures for comparison.
