Not Worth It for Nostril/tip Work
Did nonsurgical nose job 3 years ago, I think it was 2 or 3 separate visits for injection. I'd guess there was a 10% improvement in my nostril symmetry (what I was there for), and a 20% improvement in pulling my tip down. For $1800, not worth it.
I don't think nonsurgical nose jobs are suited to nostril or tip work. They are fillers after all and there are limits to how much can be injected in the nose without affecting how surface skin sits due to type of cartilage and anatomy there.
I imagine that for filling bumps, it's almost as good as a full blown rhinoplasty, and for asymmetries where you have a little more injectible area to work with than the alar rim, you can see more improvement.
For my case, tiny improvement wasn't worth the $1800
They were painful injections and swelling lasts a couple weeks. Much more swelling than fillers in the face. However, on the plus side, because the nose area doesn't move as much, the fillers are absorbed more slowly, so it lasted about 18 months
Rivkin didn't charge per cc, he charged per procedure. It only uses 1/4cc or so but it was $1800 still (As opposed to lips where I'm used to paying for cc ie $600 cc of Voluma). I preferred to have it administered by a doctor known for it since it's not a regular routine procedure and he seems to have branded himself around it. He didn't seem terribly happy when I saw him, maybe I saw him at a bad time, maybe it's his manner.
Doesn't really matter, bottom line of review is that nonsurgical nose jobs are much more useful for filling bumps than nostril work.
