I Had a Great Experience and Excellent Results

During my early teens, I developed gynecomastia (man boobs) and large, pointy nipples that were a source of embarrassment, and pain and sensitivity, due to constant chafing. I was unable to wear buttoned shirts or play sports without experiencing pain, and my chest and nipples were clearly visible through every shirt. After many years of putting up with my unsightly chest and increased sensitivity and pain, I decided to take action. That was when I first consulted with Dr Francesco Fascetti, who is a Cosmetic doctor in Double Bay. This is where I had my gynecomastia surgery. The surgery went very well and the result was a flat and sculpted chest. However, my nipples were still a source of pain and sensitivity and protruded through shirts. That was when I consulted with Dr Ellis Choy, a Specialist Plastic Surgeon in Northbridge, for a solution. Dr Choy suggested a nipple reduction surgery, which would reduce the height of the nipple and make them smaller, but also reduce the sensitivity and pain at the same time. I was thrilled with the possible outcome and decided to go ahead with the surgery.

From the initial consultation all the way to the final consultation, Dr Choy and his team were extremely professional, thoughtful and approachable. Dr Choy really took the time to understand my issue and came up with several solutions. He documented everything, explained the procedure and complications exceptionally well, and answered all my questions. The reception team were very friendly and helpful, and I appreciated the reminder texts for appointments. The actual procedure itself went very well with no complications. I had a local anaesthetic, and so was awake throughout the procedure, during which time Dr Choy and his associates made me feel relaxed and comfortable. After a week, I returned to Dr Choy for a post-surgical assessment and redressing of bandages. There was minimal bruising and minor pain, which completely subsided after two weeks. At the third week, most of my dissolvable stitches disappeared and I was left with flatter, smaller nipples that were unnoticeable under shirts, and importantly, did not cause pain or sensitivity when wearing shirts or playing sports.

The result of the surgery has been significant for me. My chest and nipples have been a major source of embarrassment, and pain and sensitivity since my early teens. I was not able to wear buttoned shirts without a cotton singlet underneath, or play sports without experiencing pain and sensitivity. Furthermore, my large chest and nipples were obviously visible through shirts I wore, which was a source of embarrassment. Dr Choy has given me the confidence to wear whatever shirt I like – and, more importantly – I now do not experience any pain or sensitivity when wearing shirts or playing sports. This may sound trivial to someone who has never had these issues before, but in fact, it is very liberating and relieving. I highly recommend Dr Choy and his associates for the services they provide.
