Nightmare liposuction
A few years ago I had liposuction of the stomach and flanks at the Bassin center. First, I consulted with Dr. Bassin but they had a different doctor perform the surgery. Day of, the surgery was HOURS late. Finally, I was on the table, "numbed", incision points made and I was pumped with a liquid. I was supposed to be getting laser assisted lipo but suddenly it wasn't working so the doctor went in the old fashioned way.Once he got to the left side of my abdomen it was very clear I wasn't numbed. It was quite literally like being stabbed. After the surgery they didn't give me any pain medication and that night I was woken up by my father who was taking care of me because I was screaming and crying in my sleep. The next day after surgery I had to go back across town to get a pain medication.To the day (years later) I still have pain around my flanks from how deep he went in with the cannula. I have never been the same. Beware. I feel like I was duped. I was young and naive and I feel like I was taken for a ride. (I couldn't list the correct date for this procedure due to limitations within the app but it was from 2017.)
