I had a revision to correct capsular contracture and had replaced overfilled saline implants that were sub glandular by doing a pocket switch to submuscular with low profile Mentor silicone implants. Although the new implants now feel soft, I can't get past the unsatisfactory cleavage, droop, and discomfort from the implants pulling on my skin from bottoming out. I look like I have 70 year old breasts. Do your homework. I went by a recommendation and should have insisted on seeing before and after photos. I did ask but was told that every case is different so they wouldn't help. I am very excited to be once again getting a revision by a Miami doctor who has hundreds of amazing before and afters of all the plastic surgeries gone wrong by other surgeons and how he corrected them without the scars.

I would advise you to come in for a follow up so that we can review the surgical results. I'd like to help if I can. I can't recall having a conversation like the one described above with a patient. I perform a significant volume of secondary breast surgeries and have been doing so for the last 16 years. I'm always available for you. Daniel B. Kim, MD

Thank you for offering a follow up. I live in Florida so that would be difficult. I think the cleavage is tricky in my case and it needs more work and the implants have nothing to support them but skin when not in a bra so gravity has sped up the drooping. The PS in South Florida claims to be able to correct the spaced out cleavage and create support using the internal bra technique. His before and afters are amazing. I am looking forward to having the revision completed in a few weeks. Thanks again for wanting to follow up, you are a caring doctor.

I had bottoming out of my first implants, too big (decided by the dr.) for me, and high profile, so after 3 months they both bottomed out. Bottoming out is when the implant falls below the nipple line. Ideally, the implant should be directly behind the areola. However, if you had what sound like old implants that MAY have stretched your breasts some, new implants won't fix that, only a lift will. I had a lift with 2nd implants (different dr.) nd i wish i never did it. If i could go back i would have had the old ones taken out and let the skin retract (if it would at all, I had nipples that pointed UP, and stretch marks on the bottom and sides of my breasts that were originally an A/Small B cup). Now I have too small implants (again, i made it very clear what I WANTED, as far as size and we agreed, but then he went almost 100 cc smaller :( ) Let me tell you, when i woke up out of aneth. I was PISSED, and let them all know it. Now I have one that is almost a cup size smaller due to lift/100cc lipo from ONE side of "breast roll". If your dr. is willing to listen to your concerns, that is good, but what matters is if he offers to make it right, if he can. I'm too jaded from previous dr., they say things like "your just an unhappy person..." Really? This is what my 1st surgeon said to me... i don't recall ever expressing any unhappiness to him, except with my breasts. Please talk to your dr. if you are unhappy though. Good luck, keep us posted.

Thank you for sharing. I was torn about writing this review because I liked my PS but ultimately ended with sagging implants. I am excited to get my revision which is on March 20th. The new PS has an internal bra technique which looks promising. If I get satisfying results I will post.

700 cc implants are VERY LARGE nd heavy, and saline is heavier than silicon, but 700cc is a large heavy implant in general. You don't look like a large person so it's possible you may again have a bottoming out issue.. How are you doing with them?

I'm hopeful since I had the internal bra procedure as well. It has taken the weight off of my skin. We shall see. Fingers crossed!

I can SO related. My first surgery was 4 years ago. I was a"perky" A cup nd wanted 400CC IMPLANTS BUT MY SURGEON DID WHAT HE WANTED, ND I WOKE UP WITH 550 CC IMPLANTS. AT FIRST ALTHOUGH THEY WERE HOLDING UP FINE, they were just too big. After 3 months they not only bottomed out, but stretched my skin so much I developed stretch marks. At first he tried to convince me I had a perfect outcome, nd that I was just an unhappy person. Yeah he said that. Long story short the following year he agreed they were to big and say nd would replace then with smaller implants, nd told me he wouldn't charge me for new implants just the anesthesia nd surgical center. So a few months later I went back and wanted to schedule it and he did a complete 180 again, was rude nd insulting to me, so I got my money back and got the he'll out of there. I paid $9000 to another surgeon to replace then nd also needed a small lift, AGAIN I made it very clear the size implants I wanted wanted nd he agreed 400 cc. I woke up with 300 in one and 345 in another. one is almost a full cup size larger nd I refuse to pay one more dime to get an unfavorable outcome. Outs just crazy that some dr. Do whatever they want and if they mess up want you to pay too fix it, again. I really wanted mine like yours are, moderate profile nd round, but nope !

Breast Augmentation Revision Update

I am 1 month post-op from getting my revision to correct the asymmetries, cleavage, and droop without noticeable scarring. I highly recommend the doctor that made these corrections! Even though I was told by the previous surgeon that these corrections could be made, my current surgeon really came through with the desirable results. Thank you Dr. Don Revis!!!

I am confused. Is this your 3rd ba? Ist ba was sub glandular and u developed a cc, 2nd one was sub muscular and bottomed out, now this your 3rd? Is this correct? Ate they sub muscular? What size bra? And hiw many cc's? Thanks! They look awesome
April 24, 2015
Yes, this is round 3. I ended up with 700ccs which because of the lift using the internal bra I stayed the same size which is 32DD. Still under the muscle. Great questions!
