I broke my nose when I was 9 years old and developed a permanent bump on the bridge of my nose, making the bridge of my nose extremely wide after it healed. In 2011, I did some research and found a plastic surgeon I was comfortable with so I booked my primary rhinoplasty. I was devastated with my results. The doctor did not remove enough of my bridge and narrowed my tip too much which made it look like a hook nose when I smiled. I cried myself to sleep many times in the last 5 years regretting ever doing the surgery AND spending over $7,000 to have it done! I am engaged now and planning my wedding. I cringed at the thought of having to see my nose in my wedding pictures. I did some research on revision rhinoplasty plastic surgeons in California and booked a few consultations. A few doctors pretty much told me what I was seeing was all in my head, but a few wanted to tear my nose apart and fix it. Then I was blessed when I came across Dr. Kosins' Yelp page. He has many 5 star reviews and now I understand why. He specializes in something called the "plunging tip" where the tip of the nose dips down when you smile. This is what intrigued me about Dr. Kosins. I wasn't crazy! I knew what I was seeing in the mirror and in pictures was not all in my head. I booked a consultation with Dr. Kosins and was blown away by his knowledge, patience, and passion for his work. All of his staff are sweethearts as well! Dr. Kosins spent 45 minutes with me during my pre-op answering all of my questions. I loved that the first thing he asked me was what I didn't like about my nose. After my consultation, I thought about it for a few days and talked it over with my fiancé. My fiancé wanted to meet Dr. Kosins before I booked the procedure. Dr. Kosins took valuable time out of his day, after a 4 hour surgery, to personally Skype my fiancé and I. He talked to us for 25 minutes via Skype and my fiancé was extremely impressed. He said he "sounded like he knew what he was doing" and he believed this was the guy who could finally give me the nose I always dreamed of. I called the office the next day and put down my deposit, both nervous and excited, but more excited because I trusted that Dr. Kosins would get my nose to it's best potential for my wedding day and the rest of my life. When I went in for my pre-op appointment, Dr. Kosins AGAIN spent a great amount of time with me going over EVERYTHING so that we both were on the same page with our expectations. Never once did I feel rushed during my time with him. After we went over everything he took my before pictures. After that he told me he was excited for me and asked me to give him a hug. Lol. I laughed and gave him a big hug. This shows how personal, down to earth, and humble this surgeon is! I loved it. My surgery was on January 11th of this year and I had my cast removed this past Monday (1/18/16)... I am already IN LOVE with my new nose. It is of course swollen, but I can see past that and it already looks beautiful to me. I'm happier with my swollen, one week post op nose than I was with my nose before surgery. It is EXACTLY what I wanted and it looks so natural! I would love to write a review on Yelp but my procedure is very personal and only my mother, my 2 sisters and my fiancé know I had the surgery. I don't want my friends on Yelp seeing my review and finding out I had the procedure. This is why I am writing my review here. I am so grateful that I did my research and found Dr. Kosins. I recommend Dr. Kosins to anyone looking into primary or secondary rhinoplasty or any cosmetic procedure! I saw pictures on Yelp of breast augmentations he has done as well as other procedures and everything he does looks so natural.
