I had Juvederm injected in the top left part of nose. I had no redness or swelling I had a small bruise on the left side of nose after injection. On the 20th of July about a week after injection my eyes started to feel a slight burning sensation and was a little sensitive to light but it went away. I had no pain again until about a week after that. My eyes started burning so bad this horrible burning feeling I went to e.r for them to tell me it's dry eyes they but in some numbing eye drops and gave me some pain pills. I went to see a optometrist next morning they said I had very minimal tears did an eye exam and gave me prescription for restasis for dry eyes. I went the next day to my doctors and he sent me to a opthamologist the opthamologist said I had inflammation (dry eyes) gave me an eye drop for inflammation. I've also went to 3 other hospitals not including the 1st one I went to in a matter of a week had a C.T scan done to see if anything would show up and nothing did. I'm at a loss after 5 emergency hospital visits 1 doctors appt 1 optometrist appt and I've seen the opthamologist twice. All to tell me it's dry eye of course but what is the cause of it? I've never had it before? All the doctors say it's unlikely the Juvederm. "It can't happen"said one doctor in my opthamologist office who is a oculoplastic surgeon the nurse and a few other doctors said no it's not it because it wouldn't effect your eyes. Necrosis is what could happen he said. One also said if some way it is from the injections you just have to give it time to heal. How much time shoot my eyes are on fire, burning non stop how can anyone deal with that pain. What else should I do get it dissolved? Or would that make it worse? Was some nerves struck that's causing it? Superficial nerves on the nose that somehow is connected to eyes? Could Juvederm go to eyes from nose? Who knows but what I do need is to see a nerve doctor who can prescribe me some pill to block nerve pain!!! If that's the reason.. I'm pretty desperate now!!! I'm willing to pay cash to top notch doctors who will figure this out!!!

I had burning eyes, not red though, after tear trough filler, so I think it's possible. It resolved quickly after I used drops for dry eyes regularly. Hope you feel better. If the pain is behind your eye or appears elsewhere on your face then it might be a nerve injury. I hope not.

No not behind eyes or else where I just have tingling in my face that does radiate. The tissue around my eyes on the inside are swollen. But I did think of the nerve injury too but I'm not ruling that out yet

I was poisoned by Juvederm must of been contaminated somehow the lot I had. Burning eyes swollen eyes dry eyes had it dissolved and some must have spread the infection to my ears as my eyes are better now but my ears burn and have ringing in one ear. Ears burn just like how my eyes did my inner ears:( never had any problems before until after the injections about 3 days after
