WORTH IT$8,500
I'm 32 and probably started seeing hair loss around 25. The past 2 years went really rapidly though. I pretty much wore hats all the time. I ended up shaving my head but I was just uncomfortable with the look. I had looked into hair transplants for a long time and was finally financially stable enough to do it. I only wanted to do one procedure so I figured I would go with the largest number of grafts offered. My goal was basically to get a front hairline and some density in the middle. I was ok with having a thinner crown as that is way more common with guys my age. I just didn't want to look 42 when I took my hat off.
The procedure itself was painless and I was pretty much out the whole time. The night of was pretty uncomfortable but I was able to manage it with the pain meds they gave me.
The overall procedure - I'm not sure I would have done this if I couldn't wear a hat at work. Obviously we get this done because we are self conscious. I'm a month out and have the "friar tuck" haircut. But that's just me being narcissistic. I will add progress pictures as we go.

Congrats; you look great! :D Can't wait to follow your progress.

Looks good. Is there a reason you chose FUT over FUE? Are there any more Pre-Op pictures?
November 22, 2016
Doing the large number of grafts that we did - the doctor and I decided that FUT was the better choice. I used to shave my head so more pre-op pictures wouldn't help that much.

Looks great. I have mine with Dr. meshkin in a couple of weeks and I'm getting pretty much teh same exact thing you are in terms of graft number, placement, and hairline design. Very interested to know how you are doing present day. Please reply.

So far so good. I'm two months out so there really isn't any progress yet. Super anxious for this month to be over and the transplant hair to start growing. I'll post 3 month pictures when it comes. Good luck!

I hate to tell you this but you will need more transplants. Most if not all doctors oversell results and longevity of the transplanted hair. I've spent $35k on about 8k grafts an I still need more. You need to move as much hair as you can to get good results if you are lucky enough to have the needed donor hair. Go to Turkey best deal around unless you have $50k to burn. good luck

Haha 35k??? Please post pictures of this. I have to see it. I spent about $8k and I'm already happy. It hasn't even been 3/4 of a year. If any of your doctors didn't explain that more of you native hair can fall out down the road then that sucks for you. I had two consults and both told me that. I've seen on here the disasters in Turkey. I'm good.

If you are happy with what you have good for you. I guess math is not your forte. To get good cosmetic results you need roughly 5500+ grafts @ $6/ graft =34k. Sorry to burst your bubble, we'll see who gets the last laugh. You will lose some transplanted hair and your hair loss will continue so start saving :)

I'm glad you're going around blowing up everyone's posts on here with your negativity with no proof. Again feel free to post pictures or name your "top" surgeons. And hoping peoples transplants fail so you "gets the last laugh" is cool haha. Continue watching my progress dude

Hey snowflake whose post did I blowup? I just said you will need more procedures wow. If you are happy with a see through hairline good for you. If you can't handle the truth sorry. Good luck.
April 6, 2017
Haha snowflake? I'm good with my results already bud. It's getting better by the day. Why don't you pop on over to someone else's parade and try your rain there. Whenever you're ready to get your frankendome fixed try an actual surgeon maybe in California. I mean it seems like Florida and Turkey have worked out haha.

I guess you cant take the heat snowflake. Are you melting? Dude I have more hair on my ass then you have on your head. See ya looser
April 7, 2017
Maybe you can spend another $35k to have your ass hair transplanted then? Haha Possibly check out Mexico this time? And it's loser*

Any post op procedure that helped with the redness or were you not expecting any. Looks good!
November 6, 2016
No I didn't really do anything to help with the redness. I was given a saline squirt bottle to spray for the first 10 days but that was more for the scabbing. That may all depend on your skin color/type and how you heal.

Not much change. Hopefully cutting the sides shorter soon just to make it look better.

Is this FUT or FUE?
It's posted in the FUE section and I see no mention of a scar.
October 26, 2016
I'm not sure why it was posted to the FUE section as I selected FUT and I can't seem to edit that part. It's difficult to get good pictures of the scar as I'm pretty much the only one taking the pictures. It's still healing at this point so it's kind of hard to tell what it's going to look like but I will update pictures of it once it's a little more healed.

Thanks, Wildcard.
It could be easiest to take pics in a bathroom, with your back to the mirror. Then you may be able to frame a decent pic. It's not an easy angle to take!

There is a hair transplant section on Realself, so maybe you can report your first post to the moderators/Community reps and they can move it from FUE HT -> HT.
