Best Decision I Have Ever Made- Septoplasty - Newport Beach, CA

I was teased as a child for having a "prominent" nose. My whole life I dreaded people seeing my profile. Every time a camera came out I made sure there were never ever candid shots of me. Finally, this summer, after 20 years of hating my face, I came onto real self to find a doctor. I found Dr. Elam and read every single review. I only had a consultation with him, and booked my surgery that same day. I wasn't going to mess around and look for somewhere else. I knew from the moment I walked in there I was done. Jody and Lupe are amazing, words can not begin to describe how helpful, kind and genuinely interested in my happiness they were. Dr. Elam came in and looked at me with such intent like I was this piece of art, and made the perfect image of my nose exactly how I wanted it, and I didn't even have to tell him. He knows exactly what will look right and be best for your face. The day I came into surgery I was surprisingly calm. I am normally incredibly anxious and nervous, and I felt so relaxed. Dr Schwartz was also top notch, and Christy my nurse was so soothing and motherly. The last thing I remember was laughing with Dr. Elam about the weather in Portland, and then I woke up and started to cry because I was so happy I had done it!! I had NO bruising, not a single bruise on my face... They had to break my nose in two places and NO BRUISES. It was unbelievable. The recovery was so easy and smooth, it felt like a nice vacation! No pain! the only bad part is no showering for a week! Today was my reveal day, and when they have me the mirror I started sobbing. I am so happy that I will finally feel like myself and not like my nose. It's the absolute perfect size for my face, not too small or swoopy. It looks exactly that the digital image he gave me during the consultation. Please, if you are reading this, make an appointment with him. He cares so much about his patients and gets excited for you. His aftercare is a full year! He wants to follow you on your heal thing journey, and it's not extra cost to you. This has been the most life enhancing thing I've ever done. Don't look anywhere else, don't go anywhere else, you've found the perfect doctor. (He's so talented, my mom wants a facelift from him next summer.) Don't risk something as important as your face to some other doctor.
