My original silicone breast implant procedure was 35 years ago. After all that time, the right implant had become encapsulated and was uncomfortable. That was my only reason for undergoing a second procedure. After doing on-line research to find the right doctor, I decided to consult with Dr. Nichter and I'm so glad I did. He listened carefully to my questions and concerns, gave answers I could understand, discussed the procedure and which type of implant he thought would be best for me, and asked if I had any more questions after that. I never felt rushed. He and his staff are kind and caring. It's been five months since my surgery and I'm very happy with the results!

Wow, that's great your original implants lasted 35 years. I'm glad you were able to get your revision to relieve the discomfort from the CC. Did you end up about the same size as you were before? Thank you for sharing your experience with us on RealSelf!

Hi Beth. I was a 32AA before I got my original implants 35 years ago and a B-cup afterward. I was happy with that size am currently still a B-cup after my revision procedure.

Oh perfect! My personal opinion is that the smaller implants tend to last longer without complications. I bet you look great!
