WORTH IT
It’s now been a little over one year since my lower body lift and arm lift with Dr. Agha. Overall, healing has been great. The first few months are the obviously the hardest, but after that I have had no difficulties getting back to my normal activities. Swelling still persists even after a year. The doctor said a surgery this extensive will cause lingering small amounts of swelling for up to 18 months or so. Swelling usually increases with activity and eating more processed, salty foods. However, it is isolated to the area under my belly button and along with incision line.

Update of healing
Here are photos I took at approximately the 8th/9th week postop. My swelling has gone down and I am looking more normal every day. My scar has healed well too. I did have a small infection and opening over my right hip which has resulted in an irregular and widened scar area of about 7 inches. I have already spoken to the staff and I have the option to revise that in the office, but Dr. Agha would like for me to wait until the six month mark.

Thank you. My arms are healing well. They have been the easiest part of this process. They are still a little bit numb. Sort of like when you fall asleep on your arm, but I can move them fine and lift them up too. I haven’t had any problems or concerns with my arms at all.

I'm actively looking into having a body lift myself. Due to cost, I'm also considering going to the DR. But if I can find a good surgeon here, I would much rather have it done in the States.

Thank you. I am very happy with my results and am also very glad I chose Dr. Agha. I searched for about five years and always came back to Dr. Agha because no other doctor had results like he did. As far advice price, it’s going to depend on you. You can contact the office and get an exact quote. It is expensive and other doctors might charge less, but I know that I paid for quality and expertise. Also, this surgery is very serious. There are a lot of risks invovlved with healing. You just need to make sure your doctor is very qualified. It would be very unfortunate to have this surgery and go through the difficult recovery and be left with poor results that need to fixed again with more surgery. I know that my results are very good. I am young and I didn’t lose a huge amount of weight. Dr. Agha is very experienced with the surgery and does more than probably any other doctor in the world. He is used to the difficulty and knows how to create a beautiful shape.
Thank you. I am definitely taking my time and doing my research. I know for a fact this is major surgery, and I don't want price along to be a deciding factor. But my pocket is sadly limited.

Thank you!! I completely understand. I would advise waiting until you are absolutely sure on your doctor and have your financial situation in order. It is hard to live with the loose skin, but you deserve to have the best doctor possiblue. Also, there is a possibility of additional costs that you don’t originally plan for. You want to make sure you plan for that too.

You look absolutely fantastic. Can you post an update about how you look today with your arms too? I am from Atlanta too and am thinking of going to Dr Agha for this surgery. I have spoken to a number of Californian surgeons but none of them are quite what I am looking for

Hi, I stayed in California for 4 weeks after surgery in an extended stay hotel. I had a friend stay with me for the first week, but after that I was alone. I also paid to have an aftercare nurse for the first 24 hours and then check up on me twice a day for two days after that.

On December 6th, 2017 I had a lower body lift, fat transfer to butt, and arm lift with Dr. Agha. I chose Dr. Agha after extensive research online and after reading reviews from past patients who had the same surgeries. I also was blown away by his before and after photos on his website and Instagram account. No other doctor seemed to be able to deliver as incredible results, especially when it came to scar placement, symmetry, and overall body shape.
The first time I saw my after photos and surgery story video on Instagram I was shocked and so happy. My results were more than I could have expected, especially when it came to my stomach and butt! Dr. Agha was upfront and honest with me about what I could expect, so I had some idea of what I could look forward to. However, I have been even more impressed with my body so far.
The nurses were extremely helpful the first few days when I was concerned about potential openings or infections. They responded quickly and reassured me. Every time I had to come to the office for a checkup, I was brought back quickly, had my incisions cleaned, and met briefly with Dr. Agha or his assistants.
I am now about five weeks out from my surgery and healing quite well. Throughout the healing process, I have only had one small opening that is nearly closed. My scar line is thin, symmetrical, and very well placed. Dr. Agha told me that the recovery for this surgery is up to a year, so I know I still have a long way to go. Still, I am extremely excited about my new body. I would highly recommend Dr. Agha to anyone considering any body lift procedure. He is extremely experienced with this surgery and I honestly wouldn’t feel comfortable trusting anyone else to give me the results I wanted. After seeing his results and speaking to him personally, I can tell you that Dr. Agha is both a surgeon and artist!

This surgery is expensive, but Dr. Agha combines many different procedures into one and his results are amazing. I would contact his office directly for pricing.

I am now at approximately 9 weeks post op. I feel almost 100% back to normal. I still get a little more tired than usual after working or being up for a long period of time, but it is very manageable. I am still wearing my binder every day and have started using silicone scar strips to try and treat my incision scar line. Swelling has decreased in the last few weeks, but I still swell in the area below my belly button. Usually swelling is most noticeable after working all day and it decreases over night as I sleep. The incision line is still a little tight as well, especially in a few spots over my hips and at the top of my butt. I requested that Dr. Agha give me a very full behind, so I think that is why it is taking extra time for my butt to heal. Also, most of my incision are still pretty numb. Overall, everything is going great and it keeps looking better week after week!
