2 Month Update Post TT

Some things I am dealing with now that I am sort of back to normal.

Travel is exhausting & lifting my suitcase into overhead bin a bit of challenge
My lower abdomen is still numb
Incision is completely healed
Sorta still afraid to wax
The swell hell in evening is still a thing
I still get a minor bit of fluid build up and am going in to have it drained - it's been 3 weeks since I last had to do it
I did run a little on the tread mill but I think that is what caused my fluid to happen - felt like same night
I am going to start weight training again because I feel like Im all squishy arms back and legs
Not working out for the last 2 months feels yuck
I miss running & I miss dancing - I hope I can get back to both by January
Abs still hurt like crazy when I sneeze

I still feel like this surgery was the most awesome gift to myself and I am super happy w what I see when I look in the mirror!

Slight WaterBed Seroma Belly

Drains came out a little over a week ago. I have gone back to work & work travel. But I definitely had been collecting fluid so had to go in and get it drained. I see my Dr every week so it wasn't super complicated. He removed about 20cc of fluid. It took just a minute or so and I only felt a slight pinch at one point. Otherwise totally numb. He and the nurse technician were super sweet about it knowing I was nervous and had made the mistake of watching the procedure on YouTube. I just looked away and it was over fast. I am cleared to go in a pool if I wanted. I did walk moderate speed for 35 min on a treadmill yesterday and it felt good. So better each week. Still swollen and tight by end of day. I still prefer to sleep propped up. Sleeping on my side occasionally but it's not super comfortable. Not working out makes me feel like I am losing lean body mass and putting on weight. Trying to be patient. Though as long as I can get my lower abdomen to heal I can finally imagine being back to normal activities in 4 months or so. Which, means progress.

4 Weeks Post Op Scar Update

I've never really talked about my incision specifics mainly because the front took long to fully close and it looked icky so I just kept it covered and hoped it would heal. Plus it is so far into my bikini line and girls...let us all agree....hair removal Post TT is a challenge. Prepare for TMI but I am seriously missing a good wax. Summer. Hot. Ugh. I took a cpl pics post shower tonight while it was uncovered. You can see the front small vertical incision is almost closed. It was super yuck and exposed for the first 3 weeks. I had 2 small openings last week beneath it where sutures were working their way out. Its weird how the incision line improves then suddenly takes a turn for the worse etc. But I guess it's just another part of this recovery journey I didn't quite prepare for. Things seem pretty ok tonight tho.

After 2 other consultations I chose Dr K because he and office team were considerate, patient, professional and had great patient reviews. I like his aesthetic and his demeanor. So far I hv felt super informed, cared for and never rushed. I feel like I am in good hands.
