Breasts have changed and fallen into old results. Was told that this was the best I could expect. Have appointments with other plastic surgeons for second, third and fourth professional opinions.Do not believe Dr. vanVliet is experienced in my areas of needs and surgical revisions/corrections. Would not recommend. Very upset.

Since puberty I have had tuberous breasts that looked awful when I didn't have a bra on. I went on Real Self after reaching out to Dr. Deborah vanVliet's office, via email (middle of June). Everything was perpetuated by watching a tv show about botched plastic surgeries and corrected surgeries with great results. I figured better late than never to see about my options. Dr. vanVliet's office contacted me the next day and left a message on my cell. I returned their call around 4:40 pm and spoke with Franca, a wonderful lady (patient co-ordinator), that afternoon. When I emailed the office I had mentioned both tuberous breasts and ptosis (sagging). Franca asked some questions to help see what I was thinking and the degree of things. We arranged an appointment for June 25, late afternoon, so I could meet with Dr. vanVliet and discuss my options. I met with Dr. vanVliet the end of June and was pleasantly surprised by her knowledge and candour. She asked me if I was happy with my breast size and I explained that when I was in a bra or pushed my areole to the "proper" position, the volume was there, it just needed help. She explained that I had a highly consticted lower pole and she would be able to correct all of that with doing a breast lift. She said it would produce scars around my areolas as well as a vertical scar beneath the areola, in my lower pole. The doctor left the room and allowed me to get dressed. I finished and sat back down in her office. Dr. vanVliet came back into the room and we began discussing the procedure and time required after surgery, to take off of work. She said that she knew of Wed Aug 12 was available for surgery. I explained that I needed to check the vacation schedule at work and would let her know. She provided me surgery costs, which I felt conflicted about, as this is a totally elective procedure, certainly not life or death! Dr. vanVliet completely understood my extreme hesitation, and explained that I had waited a very long time and understood my hesitation. I asked if they offered a payment plan for procedures? The doctor xplained that they did not but they did have medical finance companies that could provide me a loan, if I was interested? She said I could speak with Lynda, and she would provide me the information. We wrapped up our meeting and I spoke with Lynda about a medical loan. She provided me some company names and contact numbers. I went back to my car and sat for a moment. I called my husband and explained how things went. I then gave him the price and he got quiet. I explained that there are loans available, and I could go on a payment plan with a medical third party. He told me that he loved me - ALL OF ME, but if I felt that this was something that would make me happier, then he supported me. End of story. I let out a deep breath and told him that I loved him, too and appreciated his understanding. We hung up and I, still sitting in the parking lot, chose a loan company with the best payment options and interest rate. I called and after verbally going over my application, I was told I was approved, what the monthly payment would be. I was asked to send over the quote from the clinic and we would go from there. The next day I checked the schedule and the week of August 10-14, was open. I called the clinic, let the know I could book Aug 12 for surgery. Lynda gave me my pre-op appt. with the clinic and we were set!
Provider Review
Nice staff and Doctor, however Dr. vanVliet promised one thing, did another and ensured same results would transpire. Results are scars but no changes, 11 months later. Very disappointed in the lack of skill set and no one taking responsibility for results and performing subsequent revision and correction.
