17 years ago I had a gastric bypass and lost 120lbs. With 20lbs of excess skin I wasn't happy with the way I looked or felt. I had a fleur-de-lis tummy tuck earlier this year after realizing that the excess skin was impacting my life. Best decision I have made in years. I am so pleased with the results! I can't even describe what it feels like to not have to carry around all of the excess skin. It is a massive relief. I look and feel better and can't believe the overwhelming difference it has made.

You look fantastic, wow!    The extra skin is not fun to carry around.   How did the recovery go for you the first couple of weeks?

I spent a lot of time in bed the first few days getting up to walk around every so often. My husband had to help me get in and out of bed and there was definitely discomfort but it was about what I expected. After having an open gastric bypass I thought I had a pretty good idea of what I was in for. I didn't have any complications and after a few days continued to take it easy but started to get around more. I would say the first two weeks I was limited in what I could do and it took a few weeks after that to get my energy and stamina back. But I have no reservations. It was worth it!

Getting in and out of bed was also pretty hard for me as well:(
