[Progress Report - Sept 25] Incision Moisturizing Routine

CocoSophia88
Just thought I'd share the moisturizing routine that works for me with my arm. As of the latest session I'm using these products, and despite taking out a decent chunk of skin, my incision is healing better than before! Previously I kept putting only regular body lotion on my incision multiple times per day, in retrospect I dont think it was moisturizing enough. I put these on in the following order:
1) Eucerin Skin Calming Lotion
2) Bio-Oil
3) Aquaphor Healing Ointment
I use the lotion as a base, then follow up with the Bio-Oil because it's super moisturizing, and then seal in the moisture with Aquaphor ointment. Sometimes i'll put a piece of plastic wrap over the arm so my skin can soak up the moisture and it wont rub off on my clothes.

[Progress Report - Sept 9] 1.5 Weeks After Session #3

CocoSophia88
Just thought i'd share some more pics. I'm 1.5 weeks after session #3 and I have to say... keeping my incision site super moisturized is REALLY making a difference. In letting my arm heal/stretch on its own, with the constant moisture, I can already extend my arm 80% of the way. Im anxious and excited for the next 2 months to fly by so we can remove the last little bit remaining!

Why do the sides of your arm look kind of pointed out? Will that change once it heals ?

I believe so, from what ive seen from the previous rounds they will go down, they're already smaller than before. That area was still relatively swollen when I took it, it was only 10 days after surgery. But those corners are the where my skin is pulled together, it's also where the stitches are knotted (i have the dissolvable stitches under my skin). When i touch the corners I can feel a little lump underneath. In previous rounds once the stitches dissolved and my skin stretched, the lumps disappeared. I'll keep you posted!
