My outcome was not great, and the revision surgery was a disaster. My first surgery was not what I expected. Just a revision of the tip of my nose was needed. After a year I returned for revision surgery. This doctor took it upon himself to shave down a small bump at bridge of my nose, which I like. Removed to much bone and ended up with a beak.

Think about who creates the website. Maybe if it is not complicated he would be fine. I learned about him in an article in New York magazine. Also, you can check lawsuit history on NYS website. I did not do that first. I wish that I had.

Websites are helpful because they do showcase the doctors before and afters and videos of real life patients while they are going through the recovery process. Keep in mind though that some of the things you read of sites such as this only tell part of the story. Some patients are angry and come here to retaliate. Do they tell you whether or not the doctor was cold-hearted and totally ignored their pleas? Do they tell you whether or not the doctor tried his or her best to be understanding and willing to work the the patient to come up with a plan? Surgery, especially cosmetic surgery, is not an exact science and even the best of the best doing their very best have unfortunate outcomes. I had breast surgery over 15 years ago that didn't go as well as I, or the surgeon, had planned and I was angry too, but it happens. It took me many years to have cosmetic surgery again and when I did, I went to Dr. Guida FOR MY FACE THIS TIME and he was amazing, understanding of my fears and concerns and truly the nicest man. We made a plan, we both stuck to it and my outcome is fantastic. Don't fret because you have read a bad review on a site. You only get half the story here. You don't know the other side and RealSelf or HIPPA doesn't give the doctor his or her chance to tell you theirs......just sayin'

I also got My first referral through N.Y. magazine " N.Y. Best Doctor's Edition " I was not the pleased with the surgical results.

Sorry this happened to you. I had an unfortunate outcome with surgery many many years ago with a surgeon who has since retired. One of New York City's best at the time. Who is to say why it happened to me, but it did :( I am also a patient of Dr. Guida's and so while I am so sorry for you, I know no less than 20 other patients who have had the most amazing results - noses, eyes, facelifts, revision noses. Again, I am sorry for your outcome and wish you the best but for anyone else out there reading this, for what it's worth, maybe a lot, maybe nothing at all, Dr. Guida is an amazing doctor, surgeon, person. Rhinoplasty is not 100%, no surgery ever is, so perhaps with as many noses as he does a year, there has to be one to fall thru the perfect result cracks. I am sorry that it was Trooper, but that doesn't take away from him being amazing. Just my two cents. Good luck to you Trooper. Having been where you are, I hope you find the correction you seek and peace and happiness in your life. God bless.
