I've struggled with severe headaches and breathing...
I've struggled with severe headaches and breathing problems my entire life. Every time I get sick I get a nasty sinus infection that sticks around for weeks. 12 years ago I had endoscopic sinus surgery where they removed polyps and opened my nasal passages, which improved the frequency of my sinus infections, but the headaches and the breathing problems persisted. After going to 3 NYC doctors that had 3 different opinions I felt defeated and confused. A friend referred me to Dr. Tobias - her nose looked incredibly natural and her experience was really pleasant. She just kept saying she wished she would've done it sooner.
The first thing Dr. Tobias did was to take pictures of my face from 3 different angles. He then printed them and we walked through them together. He asked me what bothered me about every angle and then explained specific things he saw. With every detail he was able to articulate and elaborate all the nuances about my nose that have been bothering me for decades. Leading up to surgery I was terrified of the pain. After having one traumatic procedure that left me in pain for weeks, I didn't believe anyone when they told me that there wouldn't be any pain. It just didn't seem possible as my tolerance for pain is quite low. I was totally proven wrong. A week before surgery, as directed by Dr. Tobias I started taking Arnica Montana pellets - which help tremendously with swelling & bruising (my family couldn't believe how quickly the bruising subsided - my mom still talks about it) The other key component to his patients speedy recovery is having a closed rhinoplasty, where all the incisions are hidden on the inside of the nose, leaving no external scar. I had the procedure done at Englewood Hospital, which was the most pleasant hospital experience I've ever had. The level of care was amazing and the staff was so helpful. Dr Tobias conveniently has an office on the Upper East Side, which makes follow up appointments super easy if you live in the city.
Gail and all the girls in the office are really helpful and they ensured me that the hospital portion of my surgery would be covered by insurance - since they would be covering the medical portion of my surgery, they would already be covering the hospital portion - so the only bill I received was for the cosmetic portion - which turned out to be half of what it would've been in NYC.

Dr. Tobias is a true craftsmen who is extremely passionate about what he does and it's important to him that his patients' results are as natural as possible. Although he says he isn't a magician, I think he might just be, because he has some serious tricks up those sleeves. He managed to give me the nose I should've been born with, both cosmetically and functionally.
