I had my surgery on thurs. feb 21st and was super excited. I woke up from anesthesia and was a little groggy but that was to be expected. That night I didn't sleep good. Even with the Valium that was given to me. Friday came around and that's when I really began feeling the effects of my swolleness and bruising. Oh god was I in agony. Still am really. I pretty much was like a [RS bleep] on wheels to everybody around me. It made me feel better. Don't know why, it just did.
And with only 4 days in so far the uncomfortableness still hasn't gotten that much better. Still bruised, sore and swollen. With lots of sleepless nights. And of course I've already had my bouts with regret, depression and hating the outcome of the procedure. I mean, I know the final outcome won't be for another few months at least, but I am not the most patient person in the world. As of right now I try not to look at myself in the mirror anymore because frankly all it does is aggrevate me. I've got my first app. this thurs the 28th for a lymphatic drainage massage which is suppose to help with minimizing swelling. I'm doing 1 session a week 60 min. for 1 month and see how it goes. Supposedly those people specialize in those kinds of things.
I also have set a date to begin looking at my body and its transformation which is 2 weeks from now and then I'll be able to tell if there's improvement or not. I'll be sure to keep ya'll up to date. Wish me luck!
