*Le sigh* I'm currently one month post-op and I'm regretting this entire thing. I feel like I'm not moving towards the results I expected and I just look exactly the same. I'm on this site religiously looking at similar people who've undergone this procedure and I'm just not convinced that my results are the norm. Shouldn't I be seeing some improvement? I don't feel swollen At All. I look exactly the same as I did during my consultation.... That's shouldn't be. I totally understand that I won't have my "final" results at this stage but I don't see any results so far. I highly doubt that I'm going to wait up 6 months from now and just say "hey, it worked!" I have my 1 month post-op appt today. I want to know how much fat was removed and why I'm not seeing any improvements. I feel like even though I got an accredited surgeon to safely perform my procedure he may not have been the best one for the job. Wishing I'd gone with another surgeon, wishing I'd saved my damn money, many people on here have gotten better results for half my costs. Smh so depressed. What a waste.

Okay. I definitely see what you are talking about. It looks like your stomach was smaller last year. My doctor told me that it takes up to 3 months to see results but after looking at the pictures on this site I've noticed that most people have results immediately. Is your doctor willing to do a revision surgery for you?
June 4, 2014
I haven't asked about that yet because I'm sure the response would be to wait until the 3-6 month mark. That seems to be the average response from most Surgeons on here. But if my results remain the same come 3 months I'm definitely going to look into a revision.

Same thing happened to me almost 8 months out my surgeon was still telling me I was swollen. Now a year and a half later it still looks the same. You should see some immediate results. Yes there will be a lot of swelling but your photos look like the same results I had. I felt something wasn't right. Did you go to a plastic surgeon or a certified surgeon? i am now getting mine redone next month with a different doctor. I understand your pain of wasting the money. :( Good luck.

I totally understand how you are feeling, since Im feeling the EXACT same way. I had my lower abs and flanks done and 700cc removed and I really can't see any noticeable difference. I wanted a nice flat stomach and tappered in waist and I'm no seeing it. Im hoping when i go into see my PS and look at my before pictures I will see what they seem to be seeing.

Can you share the doctors name please?

Pre op photos from last year. I think it shows my overall lack of definition

Monique Berry
Had my one month post op appt yesterday. They basically told me to give it 2 more months which I'm fine with. I've love to see something happen as a result of all of this. Until then I'll keep working out and eating healthy. I'm done 5 pds so far (140).... 10 more to go.

Hi Monique... I'm so sorry that you are disappointed so far. In your photos I do not see any marks, bruising or any of the usual tell-tell signs that you had lipo. Since these post photos are two months out, did you have any of the tell-tell signs? As the other commenter, Liea35 said, you do look smaller in your before pics. When I had lipo done a couple of years ago, I definitely had bruising and small marks from where the lipo instrument went into the skin. I also felt a little sore and even two months later a small amount of the tell-tell marks were still there. It took a while before the marks completely disappeared. I hope the doctor is willing to do a revision (free) because you should not have to wait 3 to 6 months to see initial results. You've seen for yourself of others on this site with some results showing the same day. I suggest that you take measurements of the waist line area and see if it starts to get smaller over next few weeks because sometimes pics can be deceiving, although I don't think so in this case.
June 4, 2014
Thank you! I'm hoping that maybe I'm just a slow case. Fingers crossed that in 4 more weeks I'll see some positive improvement. It definitely wouldn't be fair to have to spend extra money.
June 6, 2014
I think your 1 month pics definitely look flatter than your 2 week post op pics! I also had abdominal lipo about a month ago and have yet to really see results. I got a couple glimpses at a flatter belly maybe a couple times in the past month, then I just swell right back up, even wearing the compression garment constantly still. I had the impression from this site that it would take at least a month... Obviously longer for some! Sure didn't expect it to be so painful still though. :-(
June 6, 2014
Agreed! Most reviews that I've seen (various age groups/sizes) results have been seen within a month. I'm going on 6 wks soon. I'm just hoping for the best, I'm going to the gym and being mindful of nutrition. Hopefully, we'll see some results soon..... *sigh*

Finally Got Hands On My Records

Monique Berry
So I finally got a hold of my records (I wanted to know how much fat was removed during my liposuction). My surgeon has been out of the office since my surgeon, he informed that he was having a surgical procedure. Anyway...he only removed 1 liter from my back and flanks area. Keep in mind that 1 liter also included the solution he had to insert for the procedure. So essentially he removed a approx a pound or a little more from the back/flanks area. Not to say that I'm fat but I definitely had and still have more than a pound of fat to give. So I'm full blown upset with my procedure now. A pound of fat? I could've done that on my own without his "help". My records don't state how much was removed from abdomen, although I feel that it'll be the same amount of fat based on my results. I'm entering month 3 now. I see him at the end of July and I can't wait.

No need to post follow-up pix. I look exactly the same and so are my measurements. According to his covering surgeon I'm "still swollen"; although I neither feel nor look swollen. My body looks just the same as it did pre-op.

Wow...1 pound??? I'm sorry. We spoke before and I know how upset you were before. I'm only 5 days po and I can see the difference in my body even though I'm still swelling. How long did you wear the garment?
June 26, 2014
Thank you.... I recently stopped wearing my garment. I wore it religiously up until a week ago. I kept getting depressed after I took it off for a shower and saw no advancements. I'm going to put it on tonight though. Might as well follow it through one more month.

I too am having a very slow recovery as far as results go. Some days I can tell a little bit but mostly I can't tell at all. My pre op pics look the same to me especially in my lower abdomen where my pooch is. Tomorrow I will be 5 weeks post op. Like you, I was hoping for more immediate results like alot of the ones I see on RS. Im willing to give it 3 months as my ps suggested. By then, I'm hoping to be able to see something in the way of changes. My ps told me that I wouldn't see my final results for 9 months.I definitely felt and looked bigger right after my surgery vs having immediate results, then swelling. So I don't feel like I ever got a preview of what the end result might be. I'm sorry you are having a difficult time...as I can relate. Maybe changes will take place for us both very soon!
June 26, 2014
Yes, I'm definitely hoping that the 3 month mark presents some type of result. Sometimes I get depressed but I try to stay focused... It's hard though. I have no clue what the end result will be either but I'm trying to remain positive. I hope you get your desired results!!

So sorry to hear that you have yet to see the results you want. Best wishes that the 3 month mark gives you some, if not all, of the results that you want.
June 27, 2014
Thank you! I pray so.

Question: Can you pinch your skin? My stomach is so swollen right now that I can't pinch my skin at all. I think that is a good way to tell if you are swollen or is it fat.
June 27, 2014
I can pinch my skin with no problem. To be honest I don't feel swollen at all. Per the surgeon I'm swollen but based on my 28 yrs in this body...I feel normal. Just pudgy......still. :-(
