1 month out results
Hey guys - quick update! I put together some before and after collages of my first month post-op. I’m going in for my 1 month check up next week, and I’d say I’m fairly happy with the results. It’s definitely not a crazy transformation, and I feel like I almost looked better right after the surgery than I do now, but it’s still much better than it was before. I know they say you keep seeing results for 3 months, but I feel like I’m pretty close to recovered at this point and probably won’t be seeing many more changes at this point. At least not visible ones. Either way, I’m happy I did it, I just feel like maybe my expectations were a bit too high.
1 week post op
Hi guys,
So as of yesterday it’s been 1 week since my surgery and I have some post op pictures that I took before work yesterday to show my progress. I had my stitches taken out on Tuesday, and everything is looking good so far! I’m still insanely swollen and bruised around my flank area, but I’ve noticed the bruising has gone down a lot on my arms already.
I’m not going to go into a whole day-by-day explanation of exactly how the process went for me, but here’s a little overview of what you can expect (based on just my experience, obviously)
Post op days 1-3: Pretty immobile, laid around watching tv all day, it was tough to change positions because of the overall soreness, took tylenol extra strength for pain and it seemed to do the trick for the most part
Post op days 4-5: more mobile, went back to work but was considerably uncomfortable (I stuck it out though), was finally able to shower and take my garment on and off to use the bathroom
Post op days 6-8: fully mobile for the most part although still get sore and swollen when i walk around for too long, not much pain at all except when pressing on swollen areas, some hard spots developing but the doctor just told me to massage them so i’ve started doing that, also began putting biocorneum (sp?) gel on scars.
Will update again at week 2 but I’m liking what I see so far!

Post-Op Day 1
Hey guys - I had my surgery yesterday! Lots of descriptions below but TLDR: so far so good.
I went into the office at 1pm yesterday and was super hungry & thirsty because I couldn’t eat or drink anything that morning. They brought me back into a room and had me change into all my surgical garb and answer some medical questions, then I waited for another hour and a half for Dr. Reish to come in and mark me up. It wasn’t that bad though because one of the nurses kept coming in to check on me (she could definitely sense that I was nervous and did a great job at distracting me!) Anyways, Dr. Reish came in and talked to me as he marked me up, explaining what he was going to do and telling me where he was going to take the most far from and where he had to be a little more careful (my lower abs don’t have the tightest skin so he let me know he couldn’t take too much out of there without giving me saggy skin). I appreciated how straightforward he was and he made me feel very safe. A few minutes later, the anesthesiologist came in and went over my medical history, and then we went back into the OR!
I climbed up on the table (which they had heated blankets on for me - yay) and the anesthesiologist quickly sent me into a deep sleep!
When I woke up, I was in a recovery room under some blankets, and the nurses were putting foam sheets in my compression garment, which was already on me. They also wrapped my arms in foam and then wrapped that in ace bandages. I was a little drowsy and thirsty, but no nausea or dizziness or anything like that. After discussing my post-op instructions, they had my boyfriend come in and help me up, and we left to go home.
Honestly, the pain hasn’t really been bad at all. And no leaking either! I’ve taken a few extra strength tylenols but have not needed any of my pain meds, which is great because i’ve been super alert and haven’t had any of the *ahem* bathroom issues associated with painkillers. I definitely suggest trying to get away with tylenol if you can. Also, I had my boyfriend run out and get a funnel for me to pee through which also has been a lifesaver. I recommend that for sure if you have a cg that covers your legs.
I’ve attached my before pics here (taken the night before the lipo) and will post another update with my first “after” pictures on Tuesday, when I go in for my first post-op appointment and am finally cleared to shower -____-
