I had to get this procedure done as I can't stand my profile and no matter how much I work out, I can't get rid of the double chin. It's been two days since I got my chin done. There's still embarrassing swelling. I'll give pictures. I didn't want actual surgery and the results have seemed okay so far with this procedure so I decided to give it a go. I had 15 injection sites and 1 1/2 viles.
Let me know your thoughts!

It is very early in your recovery. You should start seeing results in the next week or so. If it is not too tender you might try a compression band. Swelling goes downhill and your chin is a reservoir and will hold edema for awhile. Hang in there. It will get better.

Should I still be icing? Also can I use a makeshift band like gauze around the area?

Dear alyG399: Yes, aggressive icing can be really helpful -- aim for 10 minutes five times a day for 5 days. Using a band helps you to keep the cold pack in place for long enough to make a difference. The sooner you do it, the more effective it is. In my practice, we give patients a take-home kit with some over-the-counter medications to help with the swelling, and a script for a day of prednisone, it really helps!
All the best,

Swelling is still there though is more bearable. I've been seeing some other people who got it done and I'm hopeful. It's hard and hot to touch, and still sore but doesn't seem as big or maybe I'm used to it.

Be patient it takes time for the med to metabolize much like Botox.

Thank you. Does it work? The swelling is still bad.
