NYC Augmentation (Silicone) with Lift! - New York, NY
Day 1 post-op: I'm really taking it easy and...
No nausea whatsoever and just some tightness and pressure, when I go from lying down to sitting up I have a temporary burning sensation, but it goes away. Can't wait for my shower tomorrow!
Less than 12 hours from surgery! My bag is packed,...
I ended up choosing a 371 cc silicone moderate profile & circumareolar "teardrop" lift, my hope is that this gives me the fuller more natural look I'm trying to achieve. BTW my stats are 124 lbs, 5'4 and 36 A/B at the moment, but I'm hoping for a full C/D in the end.
I've posted a few before photos and will update with post-op photos in the next few days.

So 18 months and 4 Dr's later, it's finally happening on 7/3 and I couldn't be more excited! I am 29 years old w/ no kids, but experienced significant weight loss of about 60 lbs a few years back. This weight loss left me with drooping, uneven and just plain ugly breasts. Being that I am young and don't plan to have children for about 5 years, I knew that an augmentation was necessary to restore my confidence.
So here's the story: My journey began last Feb with a trip from Boston to Philly for a consult with a Dr. who 2 of my friends chose implants with. At the time, I was told that I was "borderline" lift and could go with a large implant (500cc) and choose a lift at a later time. After seeing the great results of my 2 friends, I decided to book my op for mid April. Well here comes the beginning of April and I get a job offer and amazing opportunity to relocate to NYC, the only catch is it's in less than a month and a week after my planned surgery. Well long story short I panicked and called the Drs office asking if I could postpone due to the move, the staff was very understanding and agreed to let me postpone until I was settled in NY. Well I took longer than expected to "settle", but May rolled around and I was ready to schedule my new surgery date and went for my final consult.
Upon examination, the Dr said this time around a lift would definitely be necessary in order to augment and he was very concerned that his invasive anchor lift would cause unnecessary scarring. I was basically turned away and told to try a Dr. that specialized in lollipop or less invasive lifts. It was hard to understand at the time as I sat dumbfounded in the exam room, but I now appreciate the Drs honesty and concern for my happiness with the end result.
So my search for a NY PS began and I scheduled 3 consults in 10 days, I felt the first 2 Drs were very nice, but the results were not what I was going for. My last consult with Dr Freund went much better than the first 2 and I knew while speaking with him that he was the Dr for me!
So far all is going as planned and I'm getting more excited day by day, the Dr ordered a baseline mammography and everything came out fine. My final consult is on Monday and I will decide on my cc's at that time. I cannot stress the importance of going to at least 3 surgeons before deciding, if I had gone with the original PS a year ago, I would be sitting here with VERY large and probably saggy 500cc breasts.
This time around I feel much more comfortable with my decision. My research also made me far more educated on my options and I couldn't be more prepared!

Good for you for doing your homework! Do you know yet what sort of lift you'll be going with?
