Finally. After my second child, I had lost all my baby weight extremely fast, and was left with beautiful large C breasts while I nursed. Then.....I stopped. And they went away. Disappeared - poof! I had been enjoying being fit and tiny with beautiful full breasts, and then wham, they were gone. That was 16 years ago. I finally am in a position to be able to "get them back"!! Yay! I am very fortunate that the doctor has said although three breastfed kids, and being 44, I didn't need a lift. And apparently i'm a great candidate for surgery as my body was already a size C, 3 times while nursing, so things should be well proportioned. I searched and searched between Canada and the US to find the best doctor I could. I asked every woman I knew that had surgery done, about their doctors. I spoke to many dr's offices, and researched, and got quotes. Then, I found on line while searching for "top doctors", Dr. Kolker. Once I spoke with Jillian, and then finally met Dr. Kolker, I was totally convinced now that he is the right choice for me. The staff has been more than helpful to me, and with me coming from Canada using a US doctor, things are a little more complicated with appointment times, and travel, and them pre-op tests and so on.
After driving a 7 hour drive for my first appointment to meet Dr. Kolker, I had my appointment and then sat with the Dr in his office to ask questions and discuss details. I never once felt pressured on time, or felt silly for some of the questions I wanted answers too. I had made a whole list of questions and had saved them on my cell phone to bring with me so I wouldn't forget to ask. When we were done, Jillian was with us and asked they both asked me if I had any more questions. I said I didn't think so. That was when Jillian added:
"You didn't drive 7 hours, to leave here missing an answer to a question. Take your time and go through them to make sure you got everything. Don't stress and take a moment." That was amazing. And I had forgotten a few. I am so appreciative at how relaxed and calming their were.
Their office has gone above and beyond to make sure everything is smooth and stress free. My surgery is now only 2 weeks away after months of waiting and the time is ticking by quickly. I'm still feeling extremely nervous, but I'm less and less worried about the results now. I've read nothing but amazing things about Dr. Kolkers results and am confident that he'll reach my desired results as well.
I had a little panic a few weeks ago, when my husband and I met a woman who just had hers done, and lets just say.....they, where my worst nightmare. I could not imagine ending up the way hers did. After I made sure to re-look at all the before and afters on his site and then re-read all his reviews, I felt better again.
Now I'm getting more nervous about scheduling my travel and hotel stay and time off from work. Coming in from out of town is a little tricky and the dr. would prefer I stay local in town for at least one week from the time of surgery.
I've been reading other posts on here and have found it so helpful to know I'm not the only woman out there doing this, and reading their stories, has been so helpful. I will try and post updates so that perhaps I can be helpful to someone along the line too.
This really is like a long dream hopefully to come true, so mixed with the nerves is a whole lot of excitement. Since I remember well what I looked like when they were nice and full, I can't wait to see them again! :) heehee
I'll try and post before pics soon.

Good morning my friend, so happy to see you started your review :)
OMG, we're getting so close now - so exciting!
Are you nervous yet? I'm not nervous at all - I'm actually finally starting to get excited since it's now only a month away! :)
So exciting to have met 2 women on this site that are not only using the same doctor, but all 3 of us are just a couple of weeks apart :)

I know, it actually makes me feel a little better knowing I'm "not" the only one. I'm actually very nervous. But not so much for the surgery, more the scheduling and details. Since I'm coming in from Canada, I am taking 10 days vacation to go. I also have 3 teen kids that I have had to schedule to stay places. I have to travel this week for work, and leave next week for NYC, so things are so busy for me, that I'm terrified that I'm going to forget something. Like...forget to pack something! lol
I'm sure it will be ok. I'm trying hard not to focus on the surgery itself because I don't want to get myself panicked. I am quite scared of needles and going under, but I know they will take good care of me.
I keep looking at other doctors before and after pics and really Dr. Kolker does seem to have the best, most natural ones. I leave Canada on the 8th, and surgery on the 13th....I got all my perscriptions ordered on Friday and they are now all ready. I had a little trouble withone of them since it was not a Canadian approved medication, however, my doctor gave me a Canadian equivalent. I'll have to check with Jillian and hope that its ok. I also had to order the herbal meds on line as we don't sell those here either. What's with all the Canadian differences? lol Those arrived just today. So I feel like we are almost there. My pre-op test results have all come in and sent off to the office. Apparently everything is in order now so it's just the final count down.
The one last thing I know I need to get is a bra. Jillian mentioned to get the Knockout Bra from Victoria Secret, but I'm struggling as to what size to buy? Have you thought about that at all yet?

I would definitely imagine that it will be a bit more stressful coming into NY from Canada for the surgery, so make sure you make "To Do" lists so you don't forget anything! I have serious OCD, so I'm always making lists and checking them & adding to them, etc...lol - but 9 times out of 10 I don't forget to do anything, pack anything, etc..because of my lists! :) Look at it this way, your next 2 weeks are going to be so busy that the time will just fly by!!
Not sure why the meds would be different, but definitely check with Jillian to make sure there are no issues.
I have my 1st doctor appt. on Wednesday - then another next week and also still have to schedule my mammogram. Looking forward to getting them done & over with.
I did speak to Jillian about the VS Knockout bra a couple of weeks ago (VS was having some sales, so I thought I'd order a couple of them in advance), but she said that the Knockout bra has to be ordered by size, so we can't actually order it until after the surgery, because we won't know exactly what size we'll be till then.....so I guess we wait on that one :)

Ya, I've got lists galore...and as I think of them I keep making more and adding to them. lol I'm a little OCD as well. :)
I'm planning to go to the Victoria Secret on the Monday before surgery and buy a few of them. This way I will have them, cause I'm not going out after for a bit...lol
I am kinda looking forward to a week, just hanging out with my hubby and watching movies and if I end up feeling good enough maybe go out a little and walk around.
It's true, once you get the tests all done, mammogram and blood work, it does take a big stress off, just knowing everything is good and up to date. You'll feel better once that's done. And yes, you're right the time is going to FLY!

That's great - mini-vacation with your hubby :)
I scheduled my surgery on a Thursday, so my hubby will take off Thursday & Friday to stay with me and he'll be with me through the weekend. I'm hoping that will be enough time and that I'll be getting around ok on my own after the first few days.
I took off a week from work & then I'm planning to work from home for another week so that I won't have to deal with commuting.
I'm thinking I might do the same with the bras once I'm closer to my surgery date - who the hell is going to want to go out shopping a week later?? lol

exactly. Was thinking, as long as I don't remove any tags, we can return the ones that don't end up fitting since I won't be using them.
How are you handling other peoples "opinions" of getting them done? I haven't told very many people, and am a little nervous as to how to handle the response at work, or with certain friends or family members. Will be a little odd. I think a lot of them will not support my decision. I've decided to be vague about it to anyone who I hadn't already trusted to tell. So I've been wearing a heavily padded bra for the last few months so that at least It won't be as big of a shocker...lol

I've been very cautious about who I've told - only people that are very supportive! My mom, daughter & sister know, along with 3 of my closest friends and my boss - that's it! I'm not even telling my in-laws...it's no one's business and I have no desire to listen to anyone else's opinion on the matter, or feel like they are judging me. I was hesitant to tell my boss (I knew I was going to have to tell her something, because I need the time off), but she's a doll and I ended up being honest with her - she was sooooo supportive!!
I had a partial hysterectomy almost 3 years ago - I'm thinking of telling my staff that I have to have another procedure having to do with that - I know there will be questions as to why I'm not in the office for 2 weeks.
I wear some heavily padded bras myself, so I don't think it will be too noticeable to anyone. I also chose to do this in the fall so it's easier to cover up with clothes until I'm fully healed :)
Only tell people that you're comfortable with & that you feel will support you in a positive way. Don't tell anyone who will stress you out, or make you feel bad - you're doing this for you - not them!

Time is ticking so fast! Surgery date only 12 days away!
Well, time is ticking by and I'm only 12 days away from my surgery date now! I planned this almost 5 months ago and I can't believe I am this close now! I'm having a few little panics but I trust the decision I made on my doctor and am trusting that everything will turn out okay.
I leave for NYC on Thursday next week, so it kinda feels like it's coming even faster!
There are a few "after surgery" stories that I've seen or read out there that are making me nervous! I just want the nerves to stop! (not doubting my decision at all though - just a very nervous excitement - like a kid waiting for Christmas!)

hahaha That's too cute! I found one other girl that had them done on here, and posted her pics right after surgery and a few the next few days. Honestly? If mine turn out anything like hers I will be beyond thrilled! (Yes...Dr. Kolker's patient too). You probably saw her profile. It is amazing though some of them that are out there that are incredibly horrible. I wanted to show them some pics of the way I was hoping they would look, and in doing so have found some that I would simply die if they turned out like that! lol It feels like its coming even sooner because I leave home next Thursday! I have some amazing friends in NYC and so we have a fun weekend planned just before, then pre-op sizing on the Monday, and surgery Tuesday. Oye!

October 1, 2015
Yes, I have found a couple of ladies on this site that had them done by Dr. Kolker and they came out beautiful, so I'm quite sure I've seen the ones you're talking about :)
I think it's great that you have friends here in NYC - that'll definitely help you pass the time and have some fun before you're out of commission for a while :)
How long does it take to get to NY from there?

wow how exciting!! I just started buying all my vitamins. Glad you posted about the zinc I wouldn't have known it causes nausea . Good luck and keep us posted!! :)

October 6, 2015
I will do. I am trying to get pictures posted...but can't from my work computer and my laptop isn't working at home...go figure! I will post as soon as I can figure it out! I'll let you know how taking the lower dose split up works. I had NO idea before hand. I was driving and had to pull over - it was so not a good thing. But went away right after. - except had nothing left in my body.....lol

Yaaaayyyyy!!!!
So, so excited for you!!! OMG, one week!!
Have a safe trip and try to enjoy yourself a bit :)
Jillian confirmed for me today that white wine is fine - it's the RED that you have to stay away from (if that helps you at all - LOL)
xoxo!!

lol lol I am having more trouble with Garlic!!! That's the hard one for me. Never realized how many things I eat have garlic in them. Ugh! I'm a white wine drinking so safe on that front. :) Every time I think about the surgery now, I get total butterflies! Scared and yet so excited!

October 6, 2015
OMG - the garlic is going to be brutal for me too - going to have to drink enough that I don't think about all the stuff I can't have!!! LOL

October 27, 2015
Did you take all the vitamins at once? or split them up? on full stomach? I tend to get very sick to my stomach and I have to start this regimen tomorrow. Let me know how you did it and if splitting the zinc in half helped? thanks!! :)

October 27, 2015
Hey, So I took all the pills out at the same time, and took them slowly over an hour long time frame one here and there. The zinc I had to take a max of 25 mg because anything over that made me extremely ill. My stores here didn't sell a 30 mg only 50 or 25. Honestly, I did find the pills more troublesome than the surgery itself. Not my strong point. Drink lots.
October 27, 2015
ok good advice thanks… I have a pill cutter and my zinc is 30mg. maybe i will cut them in half and take one in am one in pm. you seemed to have bounced right back after surgery!! amazing! definitely the great dr we chose I'm sure. :-) Worried about the TT recovery the most. but looking forward to having a nice new belly button again…for me the boobs are just a bonus! Even though mine are deflated and sad from nursing 3 kids, trust me they need help! I just went into this knowing my stomach needed to be fixed and the boobs were decided later. Anyway, sorry I am rambling haha thanks!

October 27, 2015
No worries! I just know the zinc threw me for a loop as I wasn't expecting it. I got caught in the car driving and.....well.....thank god I was able to pull over just in time. Then I googled it and it's common to be hard on the stomach at too much. I think if you split it, you wont have any issue at all. Honestly I think the Dr makes all the difference in the world. Hey I'm not saying I'm not sure, but really...I just feel so happy about my body now, that pings and pangs - who cares. They will pass. lol I was lucky I didn't need a lift at all even though I as well nursed 3 kids. They just got "tiny".
Don't hesitate to write any time! I'm a major Dr. Kolker advocate. lol
