Good luck doll...I've been somewhat on my own from Post-Op Day#2 and it CAN be done. My best friend was with me after surgery but after that I was on my own...when you are by yourself, IMO, it forces you to be more self-reliant and thus helps to speed your recovery along. When there is no one there to "go get; reach; fix; prepare; help;" etc...you have to figure a way to either do it on your own or do without it! If at all possible, maybe hire a nurse (I assume you are a nurse too) to be with you on first day because if you are anything like me, you will DEFINITELY be out of it! I have little memory from the first day really. Second day my best friend forced me to do things on my own (go to the bathroom, get in and out of bed, stretch, warm up previously prepared food)because she knew I'd be on my own soon after...it was the biggest blessing and I credit that with my speedy recovery thus far (*finger crossed*), I'm 12 days post-op.
Good for u, 12 days post OP! I think im pretty self reliant, fingers crossed I'll be fine.
I'm sure you will be more than fine...you will be GREAT!

finally...

I finally had my consultation with Dr. Schulman. It went well. I didnt bring in any wish pics I just asked him to make it as big as possible and add something to my hips. I will emphasize my hips again prior to my sx. I want to be curvy, not just have a big ass. When I told him I wanted to go as big as possible, he laughed and said " be careful what you wish for!" This makes me a little nervous. A huge ass looks great now, but will this always be what it want? I started this whole journey just wanting an overall nice shape but being on realself gives me butt envy. Dr. S says he expects to give me 1000-1200cc per side. Hopefully that will be just enough.

I will be recovering alone. My already rocky marriage is about to get even rockier. My hubby is against me doing it. But its what I want. I'm not happy with what I see when I look in the mirror. So this is what I want to do. I will have no help if my hubby refuses to be there. Scarey. Any vets who recovered completely alone? How bad was it?

going to Dr. schulman

Excited about my consultation with Dr. Schuman, now. No longer interested in going to dr.pakeman. Also, considering traveling now. I don't know how I would make it work if I travel to have surgery. I have 2 young kids. I can't just leave them for weeks. What's a girl to do?

Good luck with your procedure! I'm also scheduled with him for 12/3. Your before pics look really great, so I'm thinking you will be UNSTOPPABLE once Dr. Schulman is done with you. Definitely keep up posted with updates as they com :)
