2 years ago I had 5 treaments of radio frequency to help supposely with collagen but instead I lost a lots of fat and volume all over my face especialy to my cheeks .
mY cheeks become very flat and dented. I waited 2 year to have anything done to my cheeks to make sure it was safe . I was drawn toward fat transfer but was scared of by a couple of plastic surgeon , so I decided to go for fillers. Voluma was recommended by the doctor and was looking forward to have some volume back to gain my confidence. unfortunately it made it worse, i am not sure what happened but my cheeks hasn't gone bigger instead I have massive bags under my eyes which looks awful. I lost hope to ever gain my confidence back . This voluma suppose to last up to 18 months . this is a nightmare. has anyone experienced this after voluma and what to you do ?

Hyaluronidase can be used to dissolve the filler. I have read horror stories about Voluma being used around the eye area and creating crazy swelling and bags. My friend had bad results with it and got it dissolved. She is much better now, but has some minor looseness to her skin as a result. If this happens to you, maybe Dermapen treatments would tighten the area back up.
Was your skin thin and did it have texture issue before voluma?

that's what has happened to me! I had fat loss from thermage. Waited 2 yrs to settle everything, just felt I would love some volume and lift. Had voluma in the mid cheek, malar, and she must have, without really saying, spread it with the danula around the orbital area . Looked great for a day , then the usual swelling etc, 2 wks later it just looks like rings around my eyes, and darker tear troughs...which didn't look this bad. What can I do? She is saying that dissolving or surgery..lower blepharoplasty is what's needed. What an absolute cheek, when it was fine to begin with, wrinkled, but fine. I think I am never going to do anything else, not worth the trauma. How long will it take to just go down if you don't touch it. I only had a small bit.

The same has happened to me, what did you do? I'm worried about dissolving it. I wonder if it's only a little, it will go back to normal?
I'm sorry that you're going through this. Have you consulted your doctor on ideas to resolve the issue? I've read that Voluma is dissolvable. Is that something you can pursue?
I know you're feeling self-conscious, but I'm wondering if you wouldn't mind posting a before/after photo of your cheeks? A visual can help our community of doctors and others understand the issue so they can offer advice and support.
