Excited and sooo nervous too!

Started researching a while back, but only got serious about it in the past few weeks.
Getting married end of August... really looking forward to having my dream breasts for that special occasion.

Visited a few Dr.s here in NYC and it was a tough decision as I only did consultations with top rated doctors. All could have been a yes... and I've just booked my surgery day for next week, got lucky and got an 8 am on Thursday, May 25th with Dr. Taranow. Why Dr. T ? He took a lot a time to answer my questions, seems to really know what he is doing, has a lot of experience. But as with anyone... I'm obviously still quite nervous, and pray that it will all go well. I have my pre-op appointment Monday in the morning and will be going over what I need to do before and after surgery, and also pay for surgery.
Bea the office manager is supper sweet and helpful, she even gave me her cell number and we have been texting, so feel really supported and taken care of.

I'll let you all know how the appointment goes. Let me know if you need any other info, or have any question, I hope that my experience can help a few ladies, as so many reviews have helped me along the process !

Here are a few "before pictures"
(I wrote all this last week and never posted, I just came back from my pre-op and will do a different post right after this one about it with more details on medications, questions I had, etc)

Just back from my pre-op appointment and it just got real!!! OMG

Jkks
Dr.T started wrote some more medical info, asked me a bunch of questions about my medical history, etc… and also took my height and weight, giving me a BMI of 22.8 - apparently, it’s quite good. I would like to loose a few pounds on the lower end of my body, (ill post a picture) as I'm not very skinny and definitely have some shape in my thighs.
Originally I was going to do BA and Liposuction on the thighs with fat transfer to my upper butt area but decided its too much for one time, and my fiance kinda thought I should do nothing at all and we had completely canceled everything last week as he realized how real it was and the risks involved. I got really sad, especially when I realized this meant keeping my tinny tinny breasts… Anyway, we did decide to move forward with the BA as its something I’ve always dreamt of and was really sad when we had canceled. He is still very nervous and so sweet, keeps telling me I beautiful jut the way I am. But I diverge…
Coming back to today’s pre-op. After Dr. T took all my info down, he measured me one last time and we discussed size. So Dr. T doesn’t really talk in cc’s as he says that really depends on our shape and size etc. He wants to know what cup I want and asked that I bring some wish pics (I'll attach them on a next post). the way he works is he brings in the printed photos into the operating room and works to get the look I want by inserting a “sizer” that he fills in with saline solution or with air and then he can tell what size to insert once the breast pocket / size is looking good. He pre orders 3 implants of each size, I believe he ordered Smooth Round Moderate Plus Mentor implants, 3x325cc / 3x350cc / 3x375cc and he will choose right during surgery what fits me best. Why 3 and not two? Well it's to have an extra in case something happens, falls on the floor or I don't know. Better safe than sorry :-)
I got my prescription for pain meds, yay, thank goodness for those… I HATE pain. Although I hardly even take Advil because I'm more of a natural medicine gall, so I'm a little afraid of how these might knock me out… but at the same time, I think it means they will work properly and I'll feel less pain…? cross my fingers.
I also had other questions and this is what the doctor told me (best that I can recal... in my own words):
Shaving - Shave 2 days prior to surgery and then I can probably start shaving again 2weeks later, but to wait and see.
Moving arms - I should move when I feel I can, not to overdo it, but also it's not good to not move at all.
Post op - I will have my post op on Tuesday the 30th of may. so 5 days after surgery.
Menstruation - (TMI, I know… but oh well, this whole website is TMI, and that is why its helpful ;)) So I might end up being on my menstrual cycle. he said its fine, and that many times, because we ladies get nervous, we could end up having it a week later, a week early… and that every so often he gets a lady that has her time of the month and not to worry about it. The only thing he said, is that we should follow normal usage of tampons, etc… not to leave it in there for two days as it can cause problems.. not that we would leave a tampon in for two days, but It's what I love about Dr. T is that he just says everything just in case. He is very detailed
Deodorant- I can start wearing it on Sunday, so day2 post op, unless it stings, then I should rinse off and wait longer.
Shower- okay to shower 2 days after
Wow, this was a long post… sorry!

You got our pain medication first? My surgery is on June 7 2019 so I need to bring in pictures of what I want on my pre-op appointment?
UPDATED FROM Jkks
2 days pre

Got my medication! AND supplements

Jkks
So I’m all set with the following:

pre-surgery:
Ondansetron odt 8mg (2tablets under the tongue 1hr before surgery) this is for nausea
post-op medication:
Diazepam 10mg (Valium)
Oxycodone 5-325mg (percocet)
cephalexin 500mg (antibiotic)

Is this the usual you ladies have too? How soon after did you get off the pain meds?

Doctor told me to take the pain meds at least first 2days, and then maybe Sunday (surgery is Thursday) I can use Advil instead.

I have a barbecue and fireworks on Sunday celebrating memorial day, I would LOVE to go to, but not sure if ill be able ? Any thoughts? Surgery is Thursday and BBQ is Sunday afternoon…Dr. told me to take Advil so I’m not all zoned about with narcotics… gosh… that would probably not be a good look for me at a party! LOL

Also, these I LOVE: I got supplements from Beatrice (Dr.T’s office manager)
Its a VitaMedica “The Science of Natural Health” product called “Recovery Support Program”
Its for inflammation Brusing Swelling and Pain, to start taking before surgery and continue after surgery too.

AND I had no idea, somethings like wine, advil, aspirin, etc… we should stop taking before surgery, but Im so happy Bea told me last week that I should stop garlic and ginger ! I always cook with garlic or ginger. So Im happy Dr.T and Bea really go in detail with the information they give me before. I love that they go into details, take the time to answer my questions, etc… This is why I chose Dr. T and not the other very qualified Dr’s too. It was a hard decision… as they are all TOP rated doctors in NYC with great reviews on Real Self too. So, I think it is what made the difference.

Anywhoo… i’ll update soon with more info

PS: Im so exited I can’t seem to concentrate or do/think about anything else
