Breast Lift- Dr. David Shafer - New York

For over 12 years I contemplated getting a breast lift or implants. I was never happy with the position of my breasts or size of my areola (I always felt they were too large). After many years of feeling self conscious, I finally decided to go through with the surgery. I should add that I'm a healthy, 31 year old woman with no children. After researching a number of surgeons, I decided to schedule a consultation with Dr. Shafer. Not only was he extremely professional and friendly, so was the rest of his staff. Dr. Shafer's credentials and friendly demeanor made me feel confident in scheduling the surgery with him. I decided to have a breast lift with no implant because I was already a small D cup. I was aware of the scarring that would come along with the breast lift; however, I felt it was going to be a fair trade off to having smaller, perkier breasts with smaller, proportioned areolas. My experience from start to finish was beyond my expectations. The day of my surgery I was beyond terrified! His staff was extremely friendly and helped me to calm down and relax. I don't know how this is possible, but I had absolutely NO pain with this surgery. The only reason I took the pain medication for three days was because I was afraid it would hurt. After the 3 days I discontinued the pain medication and didn't even need Tylenol. My incision lines are extremely thin and clean. I'm two weeks post op and the incision lines around my areolas and going down my breasts are already fading. I cannot be happier with the shape of my new breasts. It looks like I have small implants! My areolas are now proportioned to my breasts. My results are beyond my expectations. Dr. Shafer has made himself available to me 24-7. I can email him morning, noon, night, weekdays or weekends and he gets back to me within the hour (most of the time sooner). I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Shafer for this procedure. Having a breast lift can be scary because of the scarring, but the way I look 2 weeks post op I truly believe I will have no visible scaring within the next few months. Thanks Dr. Shafer!!! All I can say is thank goodness you're young because I'm going to need you in the future :-) I do not want to grow old gracefully :-)
