Jane Definitely Knows What She's Doing, She Was Super Informative, Professional, a Total Badass!
WORTH IT
I decided to get Excel-V with Jane at the lovely Center Aesthetic for really one reason only, sun spots!
Since I've turned 30 I noticed that the brown spots have become more apparent (all due to that late teen/early 20s girl whose only concern was being tan and even used oil) and it was just one thing driving me crazy I've been dying to get rid of forever. Jane explained to me that post-treatment I'd notice that the dark spots would appear a little darker within the first few weeks before they started to lighten up, but not completely remove them. I was just happy to know the spots would lighten up eventually!
For the Excel-V, you should come in with a clean face, however arriving right from work I had a full face on. Jane gave me a great facewash along with a fresh towel to use in one of their gorgeous bathrooms (it's the little things) before heading into the treatment room. Jane explained to me that with this laser treatment, numbing the face with a numbing cream wouldn't do me any favors as the tip of the laser was already cool to the skin and essentially not make much of a difference had I numbing cream on. Prior to starting the treatment, Jane tested my skin with the tip of the laser and then again in another spot to make sure I knew what was to come and that definitely comforted me prior to starting. Don't get me wrong, laser on the face isn't the most pleasant feeling but it soon goes away and everyone's skin is more sensitive than others and the light pain I experienced went away before the treatment was over. Jane finished the treatment in with a smaller exposure of laser (less of a pinch and tolerable) while she checked over her work and made sure all the brown spots were acknowledged.
Even though brown spots were my main concern and focus, I was pleasantly surprised that the broken capillaries that appeared on my nostrils diminished, along with the mild rosacea on my cheeks. My skin tone overall was way more even and I felt a little bit of a glow. I wasn't the only one to notice either!
Just about a week post-treatment (because it gets worse before it gets better, but you can wear makeup!) I first noticed my spots a bit darker and as I'm approaching almost two-weeks I see them lightening up, it almost felt like a bonus to the benefits I already noticed and loved!
Excel-V can help with various specific issues like my sunspots and I think it's a more aggressive treatment (in a good way!) than other laser treatments if you're looking for a fast resolution to broken capillaries and/or rosacea. I look forward to another Excel-V treatment since it did more for me than what I went in for and am really happy with the results!

My experience at Center Aesthetic overall was incredible! It was definitely one of the best practices I've been to for skin improvement, from the excellent staff to the glamorously decorated office!
