WORTH IT
I haven’t updated in a while. Here are a few pictures. I first wore this dress for my birthday back in 2014. At the time I remember thinking “damn these things have to go.” The after (same dress) picture was December 2018 for my annual holiday gift exchange. What a difference! I feel so much better.!!! I hope the pictures upload properly.

You look awesome. Keep enjoying.
Thank you! I’ll post more recent pics soon...they’re getting even smaller.
I went from ddd to full b/c up ,kept shrinking about 1 yr then a lil fluff not much. But oh the relief from head neck back & shoulder pin plus now stomach sleeping is great
The relief is awesome! I’m now starting to sleep on my stomach again...it’s been 4 months since I did surgery. I feel amazing! I’m glad you’re doing well also!

Four Weeks Post Op

I had my second post op visit at the four week mark. The girls are healing nicely! I had a few sutures poking out which the doctor removed. When I first noticed them I was quite concerned. I sent a text msg to Dr. Reisch asking him about it. He texted me back right away telling me it’s normal and that I shouldn’t worry about it. All of the incision sites are closed and they look pretty thin. I’ve been applying Biocorneum Advanced Scar Treatment twice a day as advised by my doctor. So far all is well!

Hi hun how are you healing up?
Hey how is everything going?
Hi guys! I must say, I’m healing very well. I go for another post op appointment Dec 6th. I’ll post an update then. Are you ladies considering a BR?
I had my BR on November 26th and I couldn’t be anymore happy about it!!
Glad to hear you are healing well! I have mine next week 12/12!
Awesome! How is your recovery coming along?
Thank you so much! Yay to you on having the procedure!! It really is life changing.
It’s going really well. The stiffness sucks, but overall I feel great!!
That good to hear! I’m 10 weeks post op and still have some stiffness/soreness below my armpits close to the bra band. It’s also still swollen in there and by my rib cage. How’s your sleep?
I’m sleeping better than I was. I can sleep a little on my side now.
That’s good! It takes time, but each day it gets better. I think I may be able to sleep on my stomach now. I tried laying on my stomach for like a minute, but got scared! I was thinking I might flatten them or something. Lol! I’ll stick to sleeping on my side for a little longer.
That's funny. I was thinking the same thing. Like I'm going to burst them or something! Glad things are going well. Cant wait to get past the 6 week mark.
I had mine on Nov 21. Had the free nipple graft. I went from 38J to a C. Was going to go D but at the last minute C came out of my mouth. They are so small, kind of freaked out by it. I have been big for 40 years. I was doing okay with recovery and went out Christmas shopping on Saturday. Spent the next 4 days feeling like I had the flu...so achy. That's the worst, the achyness. That and the stabbing pains in my nipples! Never lasts long but not fun. Scars look great. Had nipples covered for 2 weeks so cant see how the graft is taking. Dr taking tape off on Monday. Very nervous. Still take painkillers at night to help me sleep. Nice to see others mention the lingering aches.
Omg I been trying to find someone who is also doing the nipple Graft.. I'm suppose to have my surgery in Feb but I'm hoping sooner. I cried when I found out I had to do nipple graft because I only have one kid && plan to have another. It such a scary feeling not to have feeling in my nipples
Lol! I originally wanted a D too!! The day of surgery my doctor and I both agreed a C is good for me. I too am a bit freaked at how small they are! It’s so amazing. I didn’t think they could be this small! Oh yes the pain in the nimples...I think they call it a “zinger.” That’s what I’ve seen on other posts on RS. Be careful during recovery. You don’t want anything to open up. I’ve seen that happen to ppl. I hope you’re happy when your doc takes the off!
If breast feeding is important then I would wait. I am so past child rearing and into menopause so was not concerned about loss of feeling. Intimacy for me changed after my hysterectomy so again not a concern. More concerned about the graft not taking. Having said all that, you will have feeling in the rest of your breast and since you are young, it will hopefully come back. And its worth it for your health and self esteem.
Yes I am not lifting anything or reaching up too high. More just the walking around a lot. Hubby always carries all my shopping :) Had a good day today so hoping things are all good. And I must remember to rest. And hold my breath through those zingers!
I have been aching a lot lately and my nipples are sooooo sensitive. I was told that the FNG was a possibility for me, but he said he would do his best to avoid it and he did. My surgeon said he was able to maneuver the tissue to avoid the graft. I hope everything goes well at your appointment next week.
Even with the FNG, my nipples feel sensitive. That's the worst part of wearing the sports bra all the time. I keep pulling it away from my nipples! Sometimes I feel like I'm walking like the abominable snowman..my arms stiff, away from my body..lol. it is so much fun! I am usually an Advil fan but finding tylenol is working better. I asked my Doc if he could try to avoid the fng but there just wasn't room. That's great that your Dr. was able to do that.
Breast feeding is important but I can't deal with how large my breast are. I had B cups in the 8th grade lol my grandma gave me her bra that's how much my breast were growing but I am 27 with a 8 month old && before I was pregnant I was about a 42h. I order a 42I bra that doesn't fit so I guess I am a J
I was 27 the first time my Dr asked me if I wanted to do this. It was 1994 and not really talked about. I had 2 kids at the time and knew I wanted one more. Even when I was 40J I never really saw how big I was until I would see photos. I lost weight a couple of years ago and did go down a couple of sizes. I wont lie, this surgery would be tough to deal with having young kids to run around after. The chances of breast feeding after a FNG would be pretty slim. I know how you feel and you haven't made this decision lightly but is the timing right? My daughter is 26 and just did it but she didn't need a fng and she doesn't have kids yet. So your age is perfect. Perhaps start up your own conversation on here asking for other young mothers to weigh in. Ultimately its your choice but would waiting a couple of years give you a better outcome? Just dont put it off 25 years like I did.
Ive been wanting this surgery for years I thought the wait process would be a yr && I was mistaken when I found out it take 2-3 weeks for a responds. My breast have no volume at all. They hang, my daughter steps on them if I'm laying in bed lol && if I have the surgery my boyfriend && inlaw will help with her. I just figure the sooner the better since she young && it would make the wait time of me picking her up shorter because of how fast she growing. The sucky part is my surgery is in Feb && her birthday is in March. I will try to get a sooner date so I can enjoy her biethday
Dont know where you live but in Canada we wait forever! You will feel great after. As much as I am still getting used to these tiny things(and 38C is not really tiny), they sure are pretty and my clothes fit great. Sounds like you have a good support system so you will be fine. Be excited.
It’s so important to have support when you go through this surgery. Your hubby sounds awesome! Keep getting better.
I live in ny Brooklyn , && I can't wait to feel good in clothings && to be able shop in stores for bras!.. I can't wait to have my surgery!
You’re going to look and feel so much better!
So had my nipple tape removed today and happy to report my nipples look beautiful. Nice and pink and cant really see where they are attached. Very pleased.
Congratulations
Awesome! So happy you’re pleased with your results!
Hi ladies... I have great news I've been approved for my surgery && it's is Feb 4.. I'm sooooo excited
Yayy!! Congratulations, can’t wait to read about your experience.

First Follow Up Post Op

I went in for my first follow up post op appointment on Tuesday. As always my Dr was patient, thorough, and very pleasant. He removed all the dressings and carefully examined the new breasts. He explained again that the beginning stages they aren’t at their best. They’re still pretty swollen which is visible and you can feel it too. They also have to settle in and take on their shape. I must say “I love the fact that they’re lifted and the areolas are so small.” They also look pretty small! Before surgery my doctor and I discussed sizes, and we both agreed that a “C Cup” is ideal for me. I know it’s too soon to tell but I’ve tried on a few blouses and they’re all too big! I’m going to post pics in my “Fruit of the Loom” sports bra. It’s all cotton, and I think after the bandages and dressings come off an all cotton bra is best. Just my opinion...
