Hey, I spent a year on this website following some of your journeys so I figured it was time to return the favor.
After years of weight gain and loss, I knew I needed a lift but usually lifts leave ur breasts looking a lot smaller so I decided to go with lift and implant. I met with 3 doctors before finally deciding to go with Dr Freund. The other two doctors (Schumann & Schaffer) said they would leave big scars (anchor & lollipop). Not only did Dr Freund say he would avoid those by cutting around nipple. He did warn there would be some stretch marks around nipple (I'll have to wait to see those results). Everyone in his office was great and friendly especially Paula, the billing and everything coordinator. She made me very comfortable especially when she told me stories of how her grandkids got their noses done with Dr Freund.
A couple weeks prior to surgery you need to take a multi vitamin & vitamin C. Two days before surgery I filled my scripts of Vicodin, zolfran, and vitamin k. The vitamin k u only take two days prior to surgery. The Vicodin only after surgery. The zolfran u take an hour before surgery, I didn't need to because the anesthesiologist (who was an amazing, funny young guy) said he would take care of it. I was most nervous about the anesthesia, but it went so smooth one minute I was chatting the next I woke up with a private nurse.
A couple weeks before the surgery, we also decided on a size. I regret not going bigger (like most people do). I end up getting tear drop silicone 390 in one and 320 in the other.
No amount of reviews I read prepared me for the pain after surgery. Even after taking a Vicodin, it was excruciating. Please, I can't stress this enough, get a hotel room nearby. The car ride was pure hell, I cried the entire time, I had the driver go 10mph max, thank god I was only in the car 20 minutes. Every single bump or movement killed me. Do not stay alone the first 48 hours, you will need help opening medicine bottles, drinking water, standing, etc the pain killers are absolutely necessary too! I haven't took my first shower yet (or my first peak) will update you guys soon.

I'm scheduled for explantation w/ breast lift with Dr Freund in January. When I had my breasts done 15 years ago, the doctor at the time told me to start taking Arnica Montana to reduce the swelling and bruising. Ever since, Arnica has been my go-to homeopathic remedy for any trauma. It really speeds the healing.
Happy healing and keep us posted!

Once ur done with the first 48 hours, it's smooth sailing (minus the waves those may hurt lol). The pain killers don't really help at this stage because the pain is mostly just pressure or shooting pain here and there that doesn't last. The only stressful part is the wondering what it's going to look like, if you went with the right size, and basically just avoiding the dreaded post surgery depression.
I've called Amy to help describe how to shower and other post surgery questions, she's great, makes you feel like no question is too dumb!

He is a true artist! I'm not used to touching them, the implant itself, but they look so natural and no huge scars was what really got me
Thank you for sharing your story. I'm sorry to hear that you've been in pain, and I hope it subsides soon. Please take it easy and let us know how we can support you.
No worries, hang in there!
