WORTH IT$600
I've had Botox (or Dysport) three times (on the lateral lines on my forehead and my crow's feet) and have been very satisfied. No bruising or discoloration at the injection site. And the results have been excellent in that 1. it has lasted quite a long time (~7 months) and 2. it has always looked very natural--no strange, frozen-faced kind of an effect. I think these good results have a lot more to do with my doctor (Dr. Davila), than whether he used Botox or Dysport (both seem the same to me).

update on Esana Dr. Davila botox
tori75April 30, 2015
I just wanted to update my review of Dr. Davila at Esana in New Haven, CT. I just went for another procedure (Botox injections in forehead and crow's feet) today. I should start to see the results in a few days so I'm not commenting about that (though I'm confident it will turn out well, as it always does w/ Dr Davila).
What I wanted to add to my original review are a few other reasons why I think Dr. Davila is so good at what he does. First, he is incredibly respective and responsive in that he always takes a lot of time to LISTEN to me when I come to see him. He pays careful attention to what I want out of the procedure and what my concerns, likes and dislikes are. Unlike a lot of doctors, he doesn't rush things at all and never makes me feel like I am being hypersensitive or demanding.
Another thing I really like about him is that he won't just go ahead and do any old procedure that you ask him to do--which may sound like a bad thing but it's actually not. He wants his patients to look fantastic and he uses his professional experience/judgment to let you know whether the thing you want done will ultimately enhance or detract from your experience. Today at my appointment, besides getting Botox in my forehead & crow's feet, I also wanted to get more Voluma in my cheeks/cheekbone area. I had Voluma over a year ago by a different doctor in Florida but I was starting to think that the effects were fading. Dr. Davila very easily could have just given me the Voluma today and it would have been a profitable experience for him--I was already there getting other injections and the Voluma would have taken a few minutes but I could have been charged upwards of $1000 for two units (not sure what Esana's prices are on Voluma). Instead, though, he told me his honest opinion--which was that the Voluma was actually still looking pretty good and that I should wait at least another 3 months or so before getting more Voluma in that area. His concern was that I might start to look "too done" if I went ahead with it today. I really appreciated his honesty and professionalism. In my experience, it's rare to have people in the beauty/cosmetic surgery industry try to under-sell you.
Esana is a great place and Dr. Davila is really the best. I feel lucky to have such a great doctor here in New Haven!

Interesting that both seem the same to you- just out of curiosity why do switch between the two? Is it because one will be having a discount promotion at the time of your appointment or is it something else? Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for coming back and answering! That is so interesting- some people can tell and some cannot. Glad they work interchangeably for you so you can take advantage of more promotions :)
