I Am 25 Year Old Female Who Decided on Septorhinoplasty

So I haven't updated in a long time mostly because life gets so busy. I am mostly happy with my result but I could always critique. When I am feeling down about it, I have to pull up my before and remind myself where I started. There is a small residual bump but I was informed that this could occur in the healing process and I would rather this have occurred than having a ski slope on my bridge. Overall happy!

I met with three doctors when I finally decided to make the leap. The first was great, but I didn't feel he had as much experience with facial surgeries as I wanted. The next doctor, I didn't like at all. His presentation, approach and even work was just not for me. I wanted a natural look at the end and his receptionists whom he had worked on, were all very obvious that they had plastic surgery. Then I met with the final doctor, whom I fell in love with. Dr. Donn Chatham was his name and although his consultation fee was higher, he spent triple the time the other doctors spent with me, was very honest with me about all the risks that the other doctors didn't even bring up and had the experience to back it up. On top of that, he specialized in facial plastic surgery. He observed my nose and explained that I also had a deviated septum and how fixing that would help me with minor breathing issues. The night before surgery, he called and checked up on me and asked if I had any questions which I thought was nice. The day of surgery he saw me post op and even checked up on me to ensure I was doing okay after I spiked a slight fever from what they thought might have been an allergic reaction to a medicine they used during the surgery. He recommended me to stay one night in the hospital since the nose is so vascular and because he has seen better healing results with overnight stays. He was there around 10 am the next morning to give post op instructions and showed me how to clean my nose and change my gauze mustache (you will see this in pics). He gave me very detailed written Post op instructions and said he would call in a couple of days to check up on me. So far, he has exceeded my expectations in bedside manner and kindness.Hopefully his technique will be the same, but only time will tell. I will keep updates.

Looks fantastic!! I'm having a nose job on March 24. I'm excited and nervous at the same time, more nervous about surgery and anesthesia than the actual recovery. Any advice?
My doctor gave me valium prior to the surgery to calm my nerves and that helped! Honestly that part is a breeze. Recovery is the harder part but it's worth it
Hi! Do you have any pics at 1 and 2 years post op? I am just at 12 weeks post op and I feel like my nose is still very large. Might even be a little wider than before. It’s hard to tell what’s swelling and what’s normal. My nose still feels very sore and sensitive so I’m hoping it’s just really swollen. I’d like to see the difference between your 1 and 2 year post op.

What do yall think?

A little over 5 months. Need a revision for the bump?

You’re still almost certainly not to your final result. I’m 7.5 months post-op and still seeing changes to my nose. Give it the full year and see what you think. You got a really nice improvement! I think it looks very natural. You’ll have to decide if it’s worth risking complications from another surgery for a small change. I do see a very tiny bump but it’s still a really nice nose. Keep us updated. :)
We have the SAME nose, pre op and post op! Girl, I like your results. Honestly, I didn’t see my final results until 1 year after my surgery and I have the same small bump. Don’t look so closely at your profile, take pictures a little further away then look at Your over all appearance. If you like it, great. If not, give it some time. Most people have a small bump and it looks very natural.
Like everyone else is saying, I would wait until AT LEAST the year mark before contemplating a revision if that is what you want to do. Even then, some people take more than a year to see the full result. It’s totally up to you, as well. If you are happy with the result, then don’t risk another surgery, but if not, then I’d start looking into a revision.
Basically just don’t rush and think about whether you are happy with the final result or not, best of luck!
Did you end up liking your final result? Any recent pictures?
beautiful profile, there seems to be a bit residual swelling looking at your front view. You have a lovely complexion.
