Day 2
Yesterday was not a fun day, it seems my body did not react brilliantly to the morphine drip they had me on after surgery and I was nauseous and sick the entire day, not able to keep anything down. This made me dehydrated, weak and upset. The nurses here are tough and some of them don’t speak great English however they understood and didn’t push me too much to eat and looked after me when I wasn’t well. There was a massage included in the package and I had that yesterday too which was good. Typically visiting hours are 10-12am however my sister arrived yesterday evening and they let her come in and sit with me in my room for an hour and I am going to see her again today...I am hopeful they let me out of the clinic as I need some fresh air. The only thing lacking so far I think is they don’t do ice packs, which i think would help with the swelling.
I am also hoping to have a shower and get the markings off and will post a photo once they are off. But so far so good, getting out of bed this morning was tough as I was a little stiff and also tired because the nurses came in a few times during the night to change my drip, but if it makes me feel better then it’s good!

Morning All, it’s currently 2.56am and I am lying in a recovery room in Szczecin in Poland after undergoing liposuction on thighs and flanks.
I didn’t want to start anything before as I was nervous, a bit of an emotional wreck and thinking the worst re not waking up from the general. About 2 months ago I made the decision to have liposuction on my stubborn thighs and after balling at London costs started looking abroad. My research took me to Aesthetic med in Szczecin where I conversed regularly with a lady called Nina re costs, availability and sending photos. She made me feel at ease and as such I booked flights to fly on a Friday and return to the uk on the Monday. Aesthetic med felt different as rather than being shipped off to a hotel you stay in the clinic and have a 24/7 nurse whilst you are there.
So Friday morning I got my flight from London to Berlin and hopped on the bus that Nina had organised for me. There were tears on the plane as I contemplated whether i was doing the right thing. Got to the clinic and was blown away with how clean and nice it was. Had my consultations and the only negative is I was then left on my own without an update for 5 hours. However they came to collect me from my room to go to the theatre. I think the nurse could tell I was nervous as she held my hand the whole way. There were a few more tears as I was being put under, but I woke up a few hours later in a recovery room where the nurse checks my blood pressure every 15mins. Feeling more stiff than sore currently but I’m guessing that’s the pain meds. Will keep you all updated on how I progress.
