Dr. Harley is my Hero!

I had a lot of reservations about getting a neck/jowl lift but at 68, I looked at least 10 years older. After carefully selecting Dr. David Harley because his reviews were so outstanding, I scheduled an appointment with him. Dr. Harley was very welcoming and confident that I would be very happy with the results. He provided me with plenty of information about how to prepare prior to the surgery, and explained that the post-surgical details would be available after the procedure. Dr. Harley's method appealed to me because he used only local anesthesia and a sleeping pill during the procedure. I was able to feel some of the local anthesia being injected, but it was only an odd sensation and slightly uncomfortable. After that, I slept through the procedure. When awakening, he provided my husband with very detailed instructions and we were ready to go home. The recovery process required a lot of attention to detail, including applying ice, sitting and sleeping at a 45 degree angle (for up to a month), and wound care. I only took two pain pills during the first 24 hours home, then relied on Tylenol only for pain for about a week. I'm now 2-1/2 weeks out from the surgery and I still feel numbness and a sense of being constricted around my jaw, but Dr. Harley assures me both of these will subside....and I feel relief more each day. Dr. Harley provides his personal cell phone number and has promptly responded to occasional questions I've had. He is always cheerful and positive, and I am very very happy with not only my neck and jowls, but he also tightened some of my upper cheek area. My husband is a physician and he's very impressed with Dr. Harley's tiny stitches that will likely leave no scars as long as we follow his recommendations for wound care. Note about antibiotics: follow Dr. Harley's prescription instructions exactly rather than using fewer capsules (like my husband suggested) because I developed a mild infection by not taking the proper dose. It's very clear that Dr. Harley is very experienced with a method and regimen that works. Just be sure to plan at least a month of down time because bruising and scars and a bit of discomfort take time to resolve. I plan to post photos after my 6-week visit with Dr. Harley.
