I've been posting every year around this time regarding the awful lower face and neck lift performed by Lyle Back in July of 2020. I had a revision face lift in June of 2025 to get rid of the hideous train track scarring around my ears that Lyle Back left me with. I'm doing well! Scars are gone, except nothing could be done about the scarring Back left on my chin. This post is my reminder to all the patients he left scarred and traumatized and any potential new patients to please do your homework before hiring Lyle Back to perform any type of surgery on you. When I first went back to him after the surgery and complained about the scarring he told me nothing was wrong. When I went back again, he told me I was not that pretty to begin with. His insults will sting, leave you traumatized and wondering if you just heard what you thought you heard. I will keep posting every year just as a reminder to you that there are ethical and highly skilled practitioners out there and Lyle Back is not one of them. He does not care about you.

5 Year Update
I have been posting an update every year since Lyle Back scarred me terribly in a face/neck lift procedure. This is Year 5 (the procedure was in July 2020). I finally had a revision done recently by a compassionate and highly skilled surgeon. Am pleased to report it went very well. Pixie ear is gone and the railroad tracks down both ears (front and back) were excised and fixed. It feels amazing to reclaim my self confidence. Please do your homework before undergoing this procedure. And, whatever you decide, stay away from Lyle Back!

Facial Scarring Still Visible Ater 2 Years
It has been nearly 2 years since a face lift/neck lift with Liar Back and the scarring on both sides of my face along my ears is still very visible. Railroad tracks define the look. PTSD still with me every day. He is a horrible person as well. He ruined my life.

Good, finally a real review of this "doctor" instead of all these fake glowing reviews. This guy is HORRIBLE !!
Agreed! He is a narcissist, who will shame you, the patient, for his surgical catastropjy. It has been 3 years since my so-called face lift, and the scars in front and back of my ears are still visible and raised, he created a scar under my chin, which has never resolved. I found a great surgeon who is willing to do a reision but I need to wait another YEAR to ensure the scars have softened and eased enough to properly revise the damage. Liar Back shamed and blamed me for his mess.
What doctor will do your revision? I need to find on. Dr.Back screwed me up too. Horrible scars and my lower face looks worse. I now have big fat lower cheeks.

He is horrible. I look terrible after a year. I have big puffy cheeks and constant neck and facial pain. My incisions are horrible and very visible. I picked the wrong doctor.
I am so sorry to hear this. He did the same to me. He needs to be stopped.
