WORTH IT
I spent a couple of years researching who I wanted to trust with my face. I chose Dr. Harley because h specializes only from the next up, he uses local anesthesia, and I was very impressed with his patients before/after photo! The fact that nearly all his patients were happy with their results, didn't hurt either!
I had my procedure done on August 3rd and so far I have no regrets! I don't remember much about the day of surgery but each day I see a big improvement. The first couple of days my husband and I just hung around the hotel. By day four, I was ready to get out for a bit and felt I looked more than presentable to do so.
I'm at the day 12 mark and so far I am healing well with the exception of my ears, which Dr. Harley assured me would take a little longer than the rest. I still have some swelling around the temple area and again, assured that it is normal since that is where the deeper sutures are. This area improves daily. I still have a pretty good bruise under my eye...I promise, I ate the pineapple and blueberries lol. So far I am very satisfied and will continue to update as I continue to heal. I do highly recommend Dr. Harley and his expertise.

How is your temple swelling? And scars into your hairline behind your ears?

The swelling at temples is minor and definitely not noticeable. The scars behind my ears in the hairline is still a little red but again, not very noticeable. I'm still less than 6 weeks post surgery so I'm aware and staying realistic about them needing time to totally fade. I'm still very please with my results!

Sounds about like mine. I notice the swelling so it makes me self conscious so still wearing my hair down. Glad to hear your scars behind your ears sound like mine. It’s hard to know what’s normal!

I normally wear my hair down but I drive a Jeep and right now the top is off so I'm often in a ball cap and ponytail. Unless someone is looking at me really hard, I don't think they would notice anything lol

When was your surgery? Possibly the same as mine as today is my 2 wks. I had it Aug 3. Temple swelling is my only issue now and a deep bruise on my neck. Thankfully my hair covers that. Still swelling under my chin and tightness but temples are the things that I’m most impatient with. Because of their obvious nature. But once side has gone down drastically. Your results look AMAZING.

Yes! My surgery was August 3rd, first thing that morning! I too have some swelling around the temple area, but my slow to heal area is behind my ears. I am totally pleased with my results so far though! I cannot believe the difference between my before and after photos just two weeks out!

Did you have anything done to your eyes? And your skin looks so much better too did he do a laser or something?

Hi! No, Dr. Harley didn't do anything to my eyes although in 2016 I had a lower bleph done here local in Oklahoma. Dr. Harley only did my lower face and neck. My dermatologist with to the CO2 laser but suggested I wait until 6 weeks after my lift!

We stayed at the Smokey Mountain Best Western! Very clean and the staff is amazing! The view was spectacular and it is right off the highway...approximately an 8 minute drive to Dr. Harleys office.

You look beautiful! I just received an email saying their consultations are booked though 2023 :( I am so disappointed. There is no way I can wait that long. Enjoy your fabulous results!

Thank you! I knew it took a while to get a consultation but didn't know they were that far out! Mine took a little of 6 months and then my surgery was scheduled approximately 3 months later. I feel he was worth my wait though, for sure!

Three weeks later…

Today marks week three and I’m doing great. Behind my ears is just about completely healed and the persistent bruise under my right eye is slowly fading. The swelling in the temple area is still around but not as noticeable as it was early last week. Overall I am still very pleased with the results and would say that driving from Oklahoma to North Carolina was definitely worth my time.

These photos are from the day of surgery and today.
