Neck Lift with Only Local Anesthesia

After watching Tamra on The Housewives of Beverly Hills I knew I was going to have my neck done. I spent the past 6 months researching different doctors (including the one she used) but kept coming back to Dr. Harley.No matter who I looked into, the reviews were not great and his continued to stand out. His before and after picture were impressive. I also really liked the fact that I was not going to be put under which is the most dangerous part of the whole procedure=I called, sent in my photos and had an appointment within the next month. Dr. Harley was generous with his time on the phone and went over everything step by step. I arrived the day before the surgery for an in person consult/evaluation and waited approximately 3 minutes for him to walk in the door. His bedside manner was perfect. He was informative, assuring but pragmatic, managed my expectations, and put my mind at easeThe next day was surgery and I was prepared. I cannot express how amazing this whole procedure was... local anesthetic, just done in his office. Staff could not have been any kinder, everyone was hugged and I felt like I knew them for years instead of just one day. Your expectations should be high when looking for someone to do work on your face and I had very high expectations and truthfully they were exceeded. I went home to St. Louis the next day and called him when my husband took the stitches out the following week. He picked up and stayed on the phone with my husband until they were removed. 5 stars are not enough for Dr. Harley and his staff, I will recommend him to everyone!

Exactly one month ago I had this surgery. I am so glad I finally did it! Still a bit swollen, still a bit numb but every day gets a little better. Looking down at the reflection in my phone used to make me miserable now I am like look at this neck!!

I had a few people asked about scarring. These pictures are untouched and no makeup.
Tommorow will be 5 weeks since surgery.
When I am wearing makeup I don't think anybody really notices, you have to really focus in on my ears to see anything.
The Dr. Did a good job following the contours of my ear so I think in a few months it will be hard to tell I ever had surgery even without any makeup on.
Still have a numb spot in front of my earlobe, it is about an inch by an inch area right in front of both ears that do not have full sensation.
Wearing LOTS of necklaces, especially the short ones I haven't worn for years for fear of bringing attention to my neck.
