How it works
- Our highly-trained Review Moderation team evaluates all reviews before they're published to ensure they're written by people like you and not a member of a doctor's office.
- This multi-step process takes up to 24 hours from review submission to publication.
- Doctors can't pay to have reviews removed or hidden.
- Reviews are only removed at the reviewer's request or if they violate our Terms of Service.

Revision Not Much Change
It;s been six weeks since the revision I had. I had expected it to be a lot better, there's very little change. As well as very little change, there was a nerve affected and now when I smile my lip goes downward a bit on the lower left side, I feel I have a slight lisp, though others disagree, and it's just not right. They told me this is temporary, and I pray it is. When I go to spit in the sink after brushing my teeth, the spit goes to the left, not the center.
I am hoping it's residual swelling, since it is worse when I first get up and lessens as the day goes on and I am upright. I just pray it's not permanent. They said some cases can take six months for the nerves to go back to normal when this happens.

Revision Coming Up
Jan. 5 is the date for the neck lift revision, finally. I resent I even need to get a revision, and pay over 2k more plus expenses for a ride both ways and a hotel overnight to fix something that should have been done right in the first place. The turkey neck was gone, but there was certainly not enough taken off the jaw line as you can clearly see from the pics, the head on one especially.
My earlobe areas have sadly grown scar tissue, especially the big one on the right side. It's the size of a medium sized gumball. I know that can and will be removed, but the chances of that returning are high. The only thing I can think of to prevent it is keeping surgical tape over that area for a year, that's a very awkward area to have tape, but I cannot allow this to return again.
I scar badly, but so visible next to my face, I've been mortified about this since it started to come up. I know those ear area scars are not the doctor's fault though, it's not his fault how I scar, I know that. I had real issues when it was done originally around those earlobes. I cleaned them nightly for weeks and weeks with alcohol, and they wept and they wept and then wouldn't attach to the side of the face, then when they finally did, these things started to grow, and grow....
It's hard to even pull hair down over it to conceal it. The left one is not so bad, but the right one is so big. It's this hard, gristly feeling thing. It even makes sleeping on my side with my head on the pillow noticeable when I'm on my right side. I wear headphones a good deal and it makes the headphones not sit right on my head around the ears on the right side.
I sure hope I do not need more revisions on this neck lift after this one. I am glad the turkey neck is gone, but the jaw area on both sides was never properly done in my opinion. Not nearly enough fat was sucked out.

Stitches All Gone Now
Yesterday the last little bits of the dissolving stitches came off. You have several behind each ear you can feel. As I said they are like little bits of clear fishing line and some come off as the scabs along the incisions heal, each time you wash your hair you'll notice fewer as well. Now when I trace my fingertip behind each ear, no more pokey little bits are sticking out anymore. I can't feel any in the incisions at the nape of my neck each side either.
Provider Review
Dr. M. Elahi
I cannot praise this doctor enough. Kind, caring, talented. His whole staff is nice. Not like any doctor I've ever been to before. Only wish I'd found him years ago. http://elahiplasticsurgery.com/
