My overall experience with Dr. Nein was awesome from the first time I stepped foot into his beautifully warm and inviting office to his friendly and loving staff brought me the best experience before and after my surgery. Dr. Nein performed a Tummy Tuck/ Lipo. The results were EXCELLENT! I love my new tummy!

It's has been 4 months and my tummy looks amazing!...
It's has been 4 months and my tummy looks amazing! I still have some swelling and tightening in my upper stomach area but my swelling is to be expected up to a year. I am very active physically, involved in fitness and believe this will extend the length of my swelling, so it may take longer to subside. Other than that my results of my tummy tuck surgery and healing process is above what I expected.

Hi womanofblessins, I love your results. I am looking to get a tummy tuck, but I am not finding what I need here in Memphis. I plan to travel to Nashville soon for consults. Right now, I'm trying to find the best doctor? Would you recommend him? How much is his consult? Did you have muscle repair as well?I was also looking at Dr. Melinda Haws...decisions...decisions...

I definitely would reccomend Dr. Alexander Nein. He is very thorough and answers ALL questions
that you may have. Consultation is 75.00. And yes he did tighten my abdominals. I love Dr Nein so much tjat i am preparing for my breast lift surgery in June. Check his credentials out.

I also have my drains in 30 days. What happened to you after the drains were pulled? Did you say they stayed in for @37 days? What happened after?

37 days is a long time. That was how long it took for me. Usually about 2 weeks. My drainage level on my right side was to much and my Dr. wanted it a little lower. After they are removed, a girdle is expected to be worn for a while. I pampered my incision with pure co co butter to lighten it. Some Doctors will give you something to lighten the scar. Who did your surgery in Nashville?

I'm in Florida, I saw my dr today and he took out the drain and drained the area that I had a mass on. He said everything looks great. I guess I have to trust him. I think I'm having a hard time sitting still. I read other people that are running and doing tons of stuff at one month out. I probably should stop trying to compare myself and my healing to others. It's so hard though!

Yes! Everyone is different. My healing time before I was 100% was 3 months. Then I was released back to work. My stomach is still very nice, however, its been 1.5 and my upper abdominal still swells up during the course of the day and I still have numbness. That really doesn't bother me though. Im just happy my stomach doesn't sit in my lap any more. :)

Did you use any type of compression garment....if so, what brand and how long after surgery did you wit to wear it?

Good question about the compression garment. I am having a lot of skin irritation and getting rashes.

No, I did not wear a compression suit, only a good Wal-Mart girdle. A compression girdle is to much. If you wear a compression girdle, the compression will cause the upper or lower tummy to swell from wearing it during the course of a long day and you will look like you have a indent in the middle of your waist. It will go down of course after a few hours which is usually over night. It wont hurt anything but it not necessary to wear a compression girdle.

2 years since 2012 Tummy Tuck
Its been 2 years since my Tummy tuck and I still love my stomach. Since then I have gained at least 18 pounds but stomach still looks okay. My stomach is some out of shape, but compared to what it looked like before, its exceptional.

Did you get liposuction when you had your tummy tuck? You look great after 2 years.
