I've been researching this procedure for years. Ever since my breast reduction in May, I knew I wanted this to become a reality.
I found Dr. Marvel via a billboard in Nashville. Very old school. I called and made an appointment in November, but my dad got really sick after complications from kidney surgery, so the appointment was cancelled- this got put on the back burner.
Fast-forward to early December: I got home from work one day and my husband told me he'd been having an affair with a girl from his nursing program. That sealed the deal for me. It was time to do what I wanted for myself. I rescheduled my appointment with Dr. Marvel's Nashville office and was in to see him the following week.
Knowing I was going to need help financially, I applied and was approved for Care Credit. I put down $4400 while I was in the office. I chose IV sedation (even though it was $1000 more than local anesthesia) because they could get me in on January 4th instead of March 7th.
I paid the remainder the week before Christmas, and was in for surgery on the 4th. I took PTO that day and have been fortunate to be able to work from home since (it's been 2 days).
I'll continue my review in further posts to keep it more organized.

2 days later!
More on the day of surgery and first 48 hours of recovery later, but here is a comparison for now. 1 day before surgery to 2 days post-surgery.

Still a little uncomfortable, but not painful! Trying to massage at least 3 times a day, per the doctor's suggestion. Definitely finding hard spots, so really trying to work on those. This binding garment is getting a little old already, but really not the worst thing! Overall, really pleased thus far!
