Even when I was 105 pounds, I had more than one chin. I figure all my ancestors handed them down to me, as huuuuuuge double chins run in the family. Now that I'm a fatty on top of that, my chins are out of control. They're the reason I try to avoid pictures, for example. Anyway, I always figured I should be close to my ideal weight before I try to get anything fixed, but I also realized that that's not happening any time soon, and sooner or later my skin isn't going to have much elasticity, so I decided to look into my options.
Initially I researched Kybella, but the bullfrog effect wasn't what I was looking for, especially since my spouse would frown on me spending money on my appearance so I have to do this by stealth. (When haircuts are a sticking point, plastic surgery is right out of the equation, right?) So the next thing I looked at was CoolMini.
CoolMini seemed like it would be appropriate. Little downtime, no need for compression garments afterwards, and the cost seemed reasonable, as far as these things go. I went to a local establishment and signed up.
My treatment plan was to start with three applicators on the same day--one on the left, one on the right, and one central. Because of the enormity of my chins, there were no issues getting a good suction. The procedure itself was painless; a little odd at first, but you go numb very quickly, and then it's just time to chill out. Pun intended. Yes, I'm hilarious.
We did the three applications with massage in between each one, and again, not uncomfortable. Afterwards I had some markings on my neck and a bit of redness, but I was able to cover most of that with makeup. I told my spouse I had had microdermabrasion, but I don't think he would have noticed, honestly.
My neck was numb in the treated areas for about two weeks, and sensation is gradually coming back. It is almost four weeks later, and just a few spots are still numb. It is not bothersome. I am scheduled to return to the establishment ten weeks post-procedure for a follow up and to schedule the next round if needed (so going to be needed), but I suspect I will try to move that up by a week so I can schedule liposuction for while my spouse is on vacation, because as of yet, I see no change whatsoever in my profile. While I know that results continue to develop for up to four months, after just shy of four weeks I'd like to see some evidence I spent my money wisely.
For the record, I suspect that the procedure is fine, and that I am just too big for it to make a dent in what I've got going on here. Apologies for the oddly edited photos, but I'm trying to stay anonymous.

Well... if there have been any changes they aren't visible to me. Yes, it has only been 32 days, yes, that's before some people see changes, but I do see some doctors saying that if some progress isn't seen by now, it won't be. Not sure what to hope for, if anything.

Unfortunately, I'm still not seeing a lot of progress. Or any. I had hoped that my chins were starting to get smaller, but upon doing a photo comparison it appears it was wishful thinking. I know I don't have my "final" results yet, but as I don't seem to have any results yet, I'm not sure what else to think.
Unfortunately, it has now been one month for me, and still no results, something I'm tracking by taking a profile picture every few days and using Photoshop to trace the outline of my profile, then mapping the before and after lines together. Annnnnd nothing. My chins feel squishier, however, so maybe they'll get less dense and improve at some point?
Fingers crossed for both of us!
