27 Year Old - Labiaplasty. Nashville, TN

Since I was a little girl, I always remember looking at other girls my age and thinking there was something "wrong" with my girl parts. They always looked like a mess, for a lack of better words. I was constantly tucking, pushing, and snugging them as far into my outer labia majora as possible; Needless to say, it never truly helped.
Of course, there are numerous websites to help woman feel more confident with their "lady bits", but nothing could shake the non-existent self confidence I had down below. Honestly, I was always so envious of woman with large labia that were self confident and loved their vulvas--I so wished I could have felt that way.
Perhaps it was constant ridicule from family members that didn't understand the labia minora, or maybe the teasing young inexperienced boys do toward girls with larger labia. I couldn't tell you exactly when I began to self-hate my vulva so much, but I also can't remember a time I felt it was "normal". I can not remember a sexual encounter where I actually thought about the sexual act being performed and not the embarrassment of my HUGE labia. Lord forbid a guy actually attempt to put his face or mouth near my vagina; not to mention, the difficulty of explaining why I would rather them not get near my lady bits. Just the thought still makes me cringe.
I knew when I first began researching Labiaplasty how important it would be for me to share my story. Nothing helps more than reading someone else's experience. My doctor chose to do the trim method and also complete a Clitoral Hood Reduction in addition to the Labiaplasty.

So day one was extremely painful. Not he procedure itself but the pain about 2 hours post-op is quite excruciating. For me, I haven't felt any real pain associated with that area since that first night, thankfully!

So the swelling around the clit feels quite enormous. Pain is really nothing at all; I was expecting to be in much more pain. I haven't been putting ice on it at all, though I probably should. I've been using Summer's Eve simply sensitive wipes when I use the restroom, as opposed to toilet paper: best decision ever!
