I'll tell you about my self to start off. I am 14 years of age with an over bite that I wanted to be corrected. Hearing about all the pain of metal braces I imeadeatly wanted to have a more pleasant experience, as in the musical arts its hard to wear braces and play a brass instrument.
I started out with perfect teeth no chips no dings with a healthy two times a day brushing with flossing before bed. When handed my trays I was instructed by my "elite premier " Invisalign provider that my trays needed to be taken out when eating and rinse after a meal or snack. About a year in many problems had developed wich can be traced back to Invisalign including cavaties, De calcification and a possible root canal. My teeth were and still are chipped in the corners and two teeth have cavaties that are plain out in the open that were never mentioned by my orthodontist. My general dentist had take. X-rays from the beginning and now and compared the damage that has done. Now with the threat of a root canal my dentist had prescribed me on a high floride content tooth paste and to not wear my Invisalign from any where from four months to a year. Having told my orthodontist which was almost impossible because he wouldn't answer the phone (had received a note from dentist ) still tried to blame it all on me. This was not the treatment that I had hoped and dreamed for, we have put in paychecks and paychecks into having a perfect jaw and now it is my fault because I did what I was told to.
I would never recommend Invisalign to any one born yesterday to a elderly person It has ruined my childhood and possibly the rest of my life.

Invisalign isn't the problem here. Your lack of responsibility to properly maintain the level of hygiene needed for Invisalign is. Blaming the doctor and blaming the appliance for your lack of doing the right this shows a huge lack of maturity.
At 14 years of age it is the responsibility of your parent to keep on you to do the right thing. EVERYONE who has Invisalign knows that you MUST BRUSH AND FLOSS after each meal and snack and drink that isn't water. Those are the rules!
You follow them and you get the results you want. You don't and you become, you. You are a perfect example of what not to do. As you said below "the world doesn't stop for hygiene" sorry but it does if you want Invisalign to work.
I'm so sorry to hear about the cavities and that you weren't aware that you needed to brush & floss after each meal. Did you get any sort of retainer put in place to help hold the changes that were achieved, or was it not a point in treatment where that would be desirable?
When you say "the world doesn't stop for hygiene" do you mean you didn't want to make the time to brush after each meal, or am I misinterpreting?
