Question about post drain removal

To people who've had drains removed... I'm wondering what you're doing about the "holes" where your drains were-- I'm wondering if when I shower if I should cover them or just shower as normal. My incisions under are covered with steri strips but he just taped some gauze over my drain incisions-they're in my armpit. I'm thinking just shower as usual and ignore them and just let them close up on their own?

Drains out today!

I get these silly drains out today and I am SO excited! I really cannot wait. However, now that it's getting close I am getting nervous. I am under 30cc all together for drainage over a 24 hour period which is what my ps required to get them out. But now I'm getting nervous that I need to keep them in because I am still draining fluid! I'm worried about where the fluid will go-- some have told me it will be reabsorbed into my body because it's so little but I am just so nervous :/. Has anyone had drains removed after about 6 days like me? How muxh fluid were you producing over a 24 hour period at the time of removal? Any issues with fluid buildup post drain removal? I know I should be counting my blessings that these drains are coming out but I am nervous at the same time!
I'm planning on taking a pain pill to take the edge off before I go in. They are tender when I touch them going into under my arm so I juSt want to be cautious in case they kill coming out...yikes.

Tomorrow is the big day!

Tomorrow is the day! I am feeling so nervous but excited at the same time. I'm staying at my mothers the day of but coming home the second day. Do you think I'll be able to do things like open doors to let my dogs out? I'm worried because ill be alone that second day and I will have drains so I am not sure if I will be able to. Any advice?
