Hi there, so I've decided to start accutane...I have mmy doctors appt. Tomorrow. Decided to do reviews and post here as well to help others like they helped me decide to go on it. Since there's side affects, and everyone is different, and so far I have seen not so bad ones, so we'll see how I do. ;)

It's the best thing I ever did for my acne. I'm 30yrs old and have been dealing with it for over 15yrs. Started accutane in November 2015 my skin looks amazing!!!!

I began a course of 10mg per day Isotretinoin for Acne Rosacea about 4 months ago. After 3 weeks, my hair started falling out. Its still shedding now and I've lost probably 20% of my hair. My Psoriatic Arthritis condition was significantly worsened also. My joints now "crack" often. My eyes are a little redder all the time now. tI was magic on my skin, though. Until I stopped. But I wish I never took it. If I knew then what I know now, I never would have taken it. Google "Accutane" with "joint pain/hair loss/ibd" etc. By the time you experience most of these side effects, its too late. I feel strongly now that it should only be used for severe Cystic Acne. Best of luck if you continue. But you have been warned.

Thank you, I contemplated for a while,I did my research and talked to my dermatologist and read through all the reviews through here and this community helped me made my decision...I'm being really alert of how I'm feeling, so hopefully it won't be severe ;)

For whatever reason, it seems that people with cystic acne come through OK, while those with more common, milder acne, suffer more serious/permanent side effects. You won't know which for a while. But your skin WILL be great. Wishing you the best. Keep us posted.

Wow like the other poster said, 40mg to start and then to go to 80mg seems like a really high dose for your condition. Your skin looks very mild to me, perhaps you might want to think about starting at 20mg and then seeing how your body responds?!? Best of luck to you!! :o)
