Sorry for being too negative about the medi spa

I have to say when I read my review my last two sentences are very harsh. I get pretty heated when I think of how much money I wasted and how the situation was treated. However, I still use this practice and they are the best around for many procedures. If you read this- I would trust them more than many other places. I do still go to them, and would recommend them to friends. However, I wouldn't recommend coolsculpting. Real self will not allow me edit those last two negative sentences out or I would. I have tried.

I was so excited to have this procedure done to my stomach area. I am in my 30's and have had 2 kids. Fortunately, my skin didn't suffer too much, but the pooch is hard to loose. The medispa told me two procedures are the trick to amazing results with coolsculpting. I was told I was a great candidate, and it would look beautiful. I purchased 4 large treatments and two small as recommended by the medispa. They were 25% off, so I couldn't resist. Although, from what I have read since then, I still paid a very high price. $1929.77 . My first session was two large treatments for my lower abdomen, below my bellybutton and one small section directly above my bellybutton. The procedure was painful, not too bad until they had to wiggle my frozen fat back into place- that hurt. But, I was loving the pain because I could envision the amazing results. I couldn't wait! I seriously only had a small amount of fat keeping me from being totally comfortable in my bikini. I had a 6 week follow up for two more large treatments in the same lower ab area. Well, the pain was not enough to keep me from doing my daily activities, but it was enough to prevent me from being able to take part in my regular fitness classes for 6 weeks. I had to cancel the next coolsculpting appointment because running and jumping were still painful. Six weeks is a long time not to be able to participate in your fitness classes; this is enough time to gain the very small fraction of fat coolsculpting might actually remove. Aside from the pain- I never saw any change, except bad changes. I bloated up for weeks, looking almost pregnant. But, every night I pictured how "amazing these results would be" I just knew coolsculpting was the answer to my issue. Before the 6 week appointment my stomach was still bloated, and the shape had changed. I contacted the medispa and told them I just wasn't happy with the pain and results. And I couldn't go through with the second treatment. I was denied a refund for the amount of the second treatment which was never performed. Instead I was given a credit to the spa. The employees at the medispa are so nice, I didn't want to argue, but I really should have. This was a lot of money for a worthless procedure, and an extremely large credit for a procedure I didn't have. The worst part is every time I look at my stomach I can see the outline of where the procedure was done .The treated area actually sticks out further than the surrounding tummy, and I am 11 months post treatment. My shape was great, and the distortion coolsculpting has caused is not major, only I and extremely critical people will be able to notice. But $1900, for a procedure that made my body look worse and a procedure I didn't get? I would say NEVER NEVER have this done, especially without a guarantee. I was afraid the second treatment would only damage my stomach even more. I am also very disappointed with the way I was handled. Two thousand dollars is a lot of money especially for my concerns to be ignored by my medispa. The staff is very sweet, and I feel cosmetic procedures are kind of narcissistic, which is why I didn't protest too much. However, I think after I exhaust this gigantic credit I will seek a more professional medispa. Be careful who you trust, this medispa is owned by my (ex) dermatologist.

I love the staff, but this situation was dealt with in a horrible way. I was put off several times when requesting a refund for a treatment I did not receive. And they have never asked about my satisfaction, or even if I saw any results.
