I have always noticed and disliked the dorsal hump on my nose along with the way my nose slightly curved down, especially when smiling. I consistently noticed it in photos and by simply looking in the mirror. I pretty much hated when the profile of my face was ever caught in a photo because of these two details.

How did the surgery go for you? Would love to know how you are feeling...

I am almost one month post op, and I am very pleased with the results. It was interesting seeing the swelling subside around the 2-3 week mark. I felt like I was waking up to a new nose every morning, and it became even more refined as the days passed (which is what I was hoping for). I was instructed to massage my nose on either side and down the bridge along with slightly squeezing the tip to assist with decreasing the swelling. I have a little soreness still when I touch it in certain areas and am quite cautious when I'm around large groups of people. I have been applying scar cream to the incision on the septum, and it is now a very faint red line which I expect will only continue to improve. I never had breathing issues before the procedure as it was strictly cosmetic; however, Dr. Goco said he filed down my turbinates, or "air fins", while he was doing the procedure because he noticed my passages were narrow. Ironically, I have had more difficulty breathing, but I believe there is still internal swelling that is causing this. He told me to get some Afrin to reduce inflammation, so I'm hoping this issue will resolve itself.
